Maman we have not had this one that long perhaps 2 1/2 years!
We looked the fault up and it says leave switched off for at least 12 hrs then try, if it does not work need to pull it out and tilt it as there is water lodged in the bottom it reckons?

Morning all.  Apologies if I missed anything but:

Sorry to hear about all the things going on @TakeItEazy but hoping they can get the home dialysis sorted soon and that you can get someone to talk to.  As a carer, it's important to look after yourself too.

Well done on the losses @Coxy11 and @Jellybaby

Well done on the win @bubbs, you deserve it!

Brain is a bit all over the place this morning as after work I have to drive to to Derbyshire (over 3 hours from here) as we have a funeral to go to tomorrow, so trying to pack, deal with work ridiculousness and coralling DH to sort himself out is testing me already this morning.  Have lost another 1lb this week so only 1 to go before I hit my interim target and it's star week so I know that's adding to the general not knowing what on earth is going on!

Had weetabix and some mango for breakfast, lunch is a chicken salad and dinner is going to be something on the road.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning all,

Safe travels later @ruby_eskimo and hope tomorrow goes as well as it can do x

We don't buy lamb anymore @joedenise due to cost, except for Ts special offers at Christmas when they have legs on half price!

I too had to get 3 loads of washing in as the heavens opened yesterday @bubbs - was sunshine all afternoon afterwards grrrr.

DDad is flying home next week Wednesday @maman. He's with DSis this week and she messaged yesterday to say he's been peeing blood for the last 10 days and has only just mentioned it. He asked could she book him a private doctor (at 3pm on a Sunday !!). Err no sorry we don't have a magic wand. She was still waiting for a call back from 111 at 11pm last night, so I expect I will need to meet them at A&E today. Luckily I have no boss this week and am flexible.

The harissa meatballs with orzo was delicious but the meatballs fell apart a bit when frying (just made up of 5% beef mince, tomato puree, harissa paste, garlic and onion). Bit faffy but would make again. This is the recipe that won the competition to be made into a meal in Iceland.

    Food today:
B - weetabix choc melts, strawberries, blueberries, mullerlight vanilla - HEB, S, 0.5
L - (if I'm here) cheese omelette, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles - HEA, P, S
D - mushroom and tomato risotto - new recipe from July mag - free
    HEA - milk
    Syns - hi fi bar 3 plus 0.5 = 3.5 total

Morning all, a beautiful day and no rain forecast!  First machine load of washing out on the line and the bedding in at the moment so virtually all the washing done now.  Just a few clothes from yesterday in the wash bin - no doubt it won't be that long before it's full yet again!  It's a never ending story!

Hope your journey to Derbyshire isn't too horrendous @ruby_eskimo and that the funeral goes as well as it can; it's never a pleasant thing.

That doesn't sound good @Coxy11 about your dad; do hope everything is OK.

The meatball dish sounds nice, may have to give that a go at some stage although I always have problems with meatballs (and HM burgers!!) falling apart when I'm frying them!  I've no idea what the answer to it is.  I still haven't tried orzo so must buy some to try.

    Today's plan:

    B - overnight oats - HEB; S; F
    L - brunch hash - P; S; F
    D - Spanish rice, followed by HM alcohol free G&T jelly - P; S; F; 4

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
Syns - 25g chorizo 3.5; G&T jelly 0.5 (it's actually 0.5 syns for a pint of it but I've divided it into 4 so negligible really - DH and I had one last night and very nice it was too.)

I only tried making it because someone on the group Facebook page showed Hartley's were doing them in the 10cal range so thought I'd give it a go.  The woman who tried it said all she could taste was the sweetener - so I decided it was worth giving it a go.  Will definitely be making it again.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

Well done on the loss @ruby_eskimo and hope tomorrow goes as well as it can.

@Coxy11 hope your dad is seen quickly and everything is OK

@beanielou think it was you that asked about my holidays - I'm at home first week and have a list of what's needing done to keep me busy 🙄 and the second week I have my godson and family visiting from Spain for three days. Really looking forward to that.

WFH today and really not feeling the love at all but only four days to go!

    Today's food:
B - bran flakes (HEB), f/f Greek yoghurt, frozen berries
L - veggie omelette with pickles
D - leftover gammon joint from last night, chips, tomatoes, mushrooms, peas

    Have a good day everyone!

Safe journey @ruby_eskimo, and well done on your 1lb off! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Hope you get some help for your dad @Coxy11. I suppose A&E will be the quickest option. 🤔

I always bake my meatballs @joedenise and don't find they fall apart but I bind them with egg too. I generally make up a load from a pack of mince , bake when the oven's on, open freeze them and then just defrost what I need for a meal.

I'm sure you'll get out and about when you have your friends visiting @Jellybaby but you'll be far more in control of meals than if you were going away for the two weeks. 👍🏼

It's a much better day today, warm and sunny. I'm not doing anything special but it certainly lifts my mood. 😊

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- ham (P), potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
    D- sausage casserole (P, S), penne (F)
    Syns- Aldi skinny sausages 1

Thanks @maman.  I tend not to use my oven very often but could probably fit quite a few in either the halogen or the Remoska or even the convection part on the combi microwave!  About the only time I have the oven on is when I make Fakeaway KFC so that I can have the chicken on one shelf and the chips on the other!
