    Morning all,

Third attempt at typing out a post!  I had individual replies but have given up but hope today is as good as it can be for everyone who has something on with relatives. Take care of yourselves too x

@bubbs the fact your sister has three letters probably means management have had several conversations with her first (or should have) and followed up in writing.  Do they know the extent of her MH and your dad has passed? Apart from anything else going on their timing is awful if they do. It's just piling more stress on.

Breakfast is fruit salad and yoghurt, baked potato with prawns and salad for lunch and dinner is steak, cubed potatoes with loads of roasted veg.  Only a couple of syns for the marie rose style dressing I'll make up for the prawns.

Morning all (only just!) another reasonable day although much cooler and less sunny.  I decided to soak all my tea towels and hand towels overnight and wash them this morning as they were becoming a bit dingy.  Certainly look a bit better now hanging on the line.  Need to keep an eye on the weather as it's forecast to rain early afternoon and definitely want to get them in before it does!

@bubbs Do hope your sister's employers are a bit more sympathetic with what is going on but with their timing I wouldn't be holding my breath unfortunately.  Looks like she's been very head in the sand over the letters with not telling anyone but unfortunately MH does things like that.  If they don't know about all the stuff that has been going on over the last few months then they really do need to be told and hope that they are a bit more understanding and give her another chance.

Been and done this shopping this morning and thought I'd mention that Tesco's have Napolina passata at 49p a box which is 6p cheaper a box than their own brand so picked up a few boxes for the cupboard as always useful to have.

    Today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast - HEB; P; S
    L - HM pizza - HEA2; S; 9(!)
    D - LO lamb and beans - P; S; F; 4

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread

Syns - pizza base 9; lamb 4; may have the G&T jelly later which we didn't have last night!

I didn't plan that very well at all!  Shouldn't have put pizza the same day as toast really but it's happened and we'll get past it.

    Have a good day everyone.

Hope you made some progress at the hospital getting a diagnosis for your dad @Coxy11. I don't know the set up in Cyprus for health care? 🤔

It's an emotional time @ruby_eskimo, hope your DH will be OK as he's not been well himself. It's strange but hotels are generally really good at breakfast for SW friendly food but not so much at other meals.

It's annoying when that happens @joedenise. I often find that DH makes porridge with milk on the same day I've planned Parmesan with pasta later.

I've been working my way through sorting out the kitchen cupboards. We should get planning approved next week for a permanent extension to replace the conservatory and extend the kitchen. It'll be ages before building starts but I wanted to be sure that there's nothing in the cupboards that I don't need when I come to empty them out.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA 1 milk for drinks, eggs (P), mushrooms (S), baked beans (F)
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
    D- chicken (P), SW chips (F), garlic mushrooms (S, HEA 2), tomatoes, broccoli (S)
    Syns - 0

Hope all went okay today @ruby_eskimo x

We saw the urologist who was lovely (and very dashing.....) who referred DDad for an urgent blood test and CT scan. Managed to wangle a blood test for 2.30pm today and a CT scan for tomorrow afternoon. He also has to have a camera up his front bits on Friday!! We went to M&S for a cuppa whilst waiting for the blood test time - luckily I had my hi fi bar, but DDad had a sandwich. I had the mackerel, 6 wholegrain crackers and another hifi when I got home at 3pm as was starving. 9 syns but needs must. Will finish the day on 10.

Back again tomorrow to take him for the CT scan as DSis is working a split shift and cannot be in two places at once. He's back with me from Thursday night which is lucky as the procedure on Friday is in Sevenoaks which is only down the road from me.

Exciting about your extension plans @maman and good plan to eat down the cupboards :)

    Afternoon all

Coxy glad you are getting your Dad sortedd.

Ruby hope everything went as well as possible.

Yes my sisters work knows about Dad, i have spoken to my sister today , i said why didn't you say anything about the letters? someone would have helped you! I said what was the reason, sickness days , (she works in the kitchens) and cut the carrots wrong and sandwiches!! I mean !!!!!!?
She said her mental health team are involved and her friend was going round to go through it with her today. I said well you need to get advice sooner rather than later, yes i know, yes, she says.
Then she says i am on some quite heavy medication , well we know this and did tell her not to rush back to work. Will see what happens,

I said have you sorted out about getting to Mum's Thursday yet? Well i rang **** (sis) she said she would get back to me and today is Tuesday, i said well ring her back and ask.
I can't go and fetch her too far for me and my other sister is taking DH and myself (also would take her too long )as DH don't drive and has no way of getting there and also cuts the cars down in the close.
