Hello everyone, didn't get on this morning and needed to leave earlier than usual for my waxing appointment before going to group which of course is in the opposite direction!

Hope you aren't too bruised after your fall @beanielou and you're feeling better.

Not surprising you are a bit emotional @bubbs, it's a very emotional time.  Hope your foot appointment goes well and things get sorted.

@Jellybaby - your work sounds awful, seems you are definitely doing the right thing by retiring.  How much longer before you leave?  Hope it isn't too long.  It may well be worth asking your GP to sign you off with stress as @beanielou suggested.  It's what I ended up doing with having stress with a new boss after my lovely previous boss left.  The new one was absolutely awful!

You have to make concessions for your elderly parents @Coxy11 - forgetfulness gets us all as we get older!  No need to have the TV loud as long as you can get subtitles!  What I hate is when the speech is out of sync with the subtitles!

@maman - have you thought of stuffing large courgettes instead of marrow?  They are very similar.  Like you I haven't had marrow for years - they're far too big for just 2 people and of course can't be frozen.

I managed to lose lb this week but means I'm still half lb out of target range.  I won't be going next week as can't drive for at least a week after the cataract op tomorrow.  Have booked holiday for 2 weeks just in case I need the extra week, of course if I do go it can just be overridden the 2nd week.

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette - P; S
    L - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
    D - Fakeaway KFC - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

Well done on your 1lb @joedenise. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Grr! to not getting that extra half.

I've got a feeling that'll be me tomorrow. I, too, need 1.5lbs to get back into range but one minute I feel slimmer and then fatter again. I think it must be all the fluids I'm having. 😁 All the best for your op tomorrow.

At least you can outrun the slugs and snails @Coxy11! 🤣 Your meal sound really tasty last night. I'd have been keen to have the cauliflower cheese too but I expect the sauce was synful so well done on avoiding it.

I've not eaten at Pizza Express for a while either @beanielou but I think they do salads  or pasta in a tomato sauce is a good option. You have plenty of syns left @Coxy11 so you should be fine.

Sorry to hear you're feeling stressed @Jellybaby. I do hope you can get back on the wagon today and try to feel n control of your food even if work is going crazy. 🤗

Good idea to treat yourself to a bit of retail therapy @ruby_eskimo. The syn free option! 😁

I cheat a bit with the stuffed marrow @Coxy11. I certainly don't do all the tying up with string thing. My recipe is a bit like this one only quicker.
Stuffed Marrow With Beef Mince - Easy Recipe - Penny's Recipes (pennysrecipes.com)

The rings of marrow can be microwaved so they're cooked first and I've always got Bolognese or savoury mince in the freezer. So I just put the cooked marrow rings in a dish, pour meat sauce into the rings, sprinkle on a HEA of cheese and just bake until the cheese has melted. Marrow doesn't have a great deal of taste of its own.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
L- LO ham hash (P,F,S) with pickles (S)
    D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P,F,S) with HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

Well I seemed to miss yesterday somehow - 20 posts to catch up when I got home just before lunch.
    Sending hugs to @beanielou, @bubbs and @Jellybaby.
@joedenise I am chasing 1/2 lb to get to target too after loosing 1/2 at WI last evening.
Currently baking some SW min quiches (with a sprinkling of FF Cheddar to give them a little more oomph. Tinned sardines/mackerel with large salad and pickles for supper, OH may add a JP as he is out cycling atm, currently sunny and hoping the forecast is correct and the heavy rain is not coming in until later, would be even better if it bypasses us completely.
