Morning all.
Glad to op went well @joedenise and wow to having the date for the next one already!
Definitely sounds like a carry on @bubbs but at least it's all done now!
Well done for sticking to plan while out @Coxy11 - hope you have fun at Zizzi's
Well done on the loss @maman, hopefully the rest will work it's way off over the next week or two - we all know our losses aren't always linear.
Feeling a lot better this morning, still not 100% but getting there. Had a frustrating day WFH yesterday and think today is going to be much of the same. Plan to spend the weekend getting the house put back together as it's a state and trying to get the last little bits for holiday that I know we need. Then next weekend is packing and picking up the things I forgot about 🤣
Haven't had breakfast yet but will be more shredded wheat and raspberries, lunch will be the last of the roast chicken as a salad and dinner tonight is cottage pie (as didn't have it on Wednesday).

Morning all,
Well done on the loss @maman you're another who knows the plan inside out and will have the loss you want next week.
Have a lovely day out with family @Coxy11
Hope your eye is recovering well @joedenise and good you're feeling better @ruby_eskimo your holiday is in sight!
I've been out for a walk and now waiting on my coffee running through. WFH and today I will start at 9 and finish on the dot at 5 😁 Another week to work then off for two weeks, so looking forward to it.
Today's food:
B - toast (HEB), jam (2 yns)
L - Spanish omelette with pickles
D - fish, chips, salad (4 syns for breadcrumbs - need to double-check)
Have a good day all!0 -
Morning all, very cloudy and a bit breezy although forecast for rain and strong winds later.
The reason for the quick appointment @ruby_eskimo is because I've gone through Benenden rather than waiting for the NHS. After this eye appointment was given I got a letter offering me an assessment appointment for the local Eye Department for the week after next which of course I've cancelled. Goodness only knows how much longer it would have been before I got the actual operation after that and then would have to go through it all again after I don't know how long. I shall just be glad once it's all over and hopefully will only need reading glasses rather than having to wear glasses all the time.
As we ate out at lunchtime yesterday but not at the hospital so didn't get my jacket and beans I was planning we had a proper meal so ended up not having the stew last night so that will be tonight's dinner. Don't think I said what I had for lunch yesterday; it was sea bass, new potatoes, cabbage, tender stem broccoli and peas with a garlic pesto. It was very nice too. Would definitely have it again.
Enjoy your day out at Buckingham Palace with your mum and dad @Coxy11 and good idea to take a hifi bar for the inevitable coffee stop!
Hope your arm isn't too bruised after the problems with getting blood @bubbs. Sounds like you're even worse than me for getting blood from!
I bought a butternut squash this week and was going to ask @bubbs if I cut into chips how long will they take in the air fryer and do they need par boiling like potato chips?
Today's plan:
B - toasted cheese sandwich - HEB; HEA2
L - carrot and lentil soup (from the freezer) - P; S; F
D - beef stew, mash - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - none planned
Need to keep the syns down as had wine last night so over syns so will try not to have too many if at all today.
Have a good day everyone.

What a carry on Bubbs! You have my sympathy 💞
Time for my catch up!!Been a while! Not much happening on the weight loss front, although lost that (rebounding) lb this week.
Hubby has finally been given the go ahead for home dialysis, now more waiting for adaptions to home & equipment plus training for me 😲. I do wonder if it will happen as he has been quite poorly at times. We had an appointment with our Palliative Care Doctor which although is mostly for hubby turned into an uncomfortable focus on me & my mental health (grief). Dr spent some time trying to get me to have counselling and also about the lack of support from our own surgery (as in not seeing anyone face to face). Anyway we came away with him on the case for appointments and also OP (who have already responded) about adaptions around the house for hubby. Not holding my breath for response from surgery though!
so still a waiting game!
Took our fur baby to vets as has ear infection, was 😱 at the cost! We pay into a health plan so had his claws clipped for “nothing”! Got to go back next Friday to see if antibiotics are working, then he can have his jabs! Expensive time 😮💨
Hope everyone is doing ok, well done losers and keep plodding! Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Thanks @bubbs, will just cook the butternut chips the same as potatoes and see how they come out! My eye is fine, still quite blurry but that's to be expected for a few days - probably doesn't help having to put drops in 4 times a day! Had to phone the hospital as the nurse told me a different regime to what is in the post operative care pamphlet and got told to ignore the pamphlet as what the nurse had told me was what the consultant had ordered! 4 times a day for 4 weeks; was hoping it would reduce over time but apparently not.
You couldn't make it up could you @bubbs. Can't believe they wanted to do the injection in your foot on the day of the funeral - shows they just don't listen when they're told things. Hope it gets rearranged for a convenient time for you.
Things don't sound good for you or your DH @TakeItEazy. Do hope things move on so that your DH can have dialysis at home very soon. Your GP sounds as bad as mine - can't even get to speak to a GP yet alone see one! If you manage to get a phone appointment it's either a nurse or a paramedic never a doctor.
Animals can be so expensive can't they? Do hope the antibiotics work so that he can have his jabs next week.

Hi all,
Buckingham Palace was great. I loved the Coronation exhibition especially and saw the robes and the Queen's outfit close up. The needlework was stunning. We had a coffee (americano) on the train going up so went straight into the Palace and didn't stop in the coffee shop as wanted to get lunch - teenage nephew was hungry! Zizzi's was great service - I had the BNS salad and a coke zero. Not sure that we will eat tonight as DH had a pizza with calamari on the side - oink oink!
Could not make it up about your injection date @bubbs and your OH's medical 'advice' - just crazy!
Good to see you @TakeItEazy and sorry things are difficult with your DHs care. I hope things get sorted for home dialysis soon xx

As has been said @bubbs you could just not make it up.
Good luck for tomorrow.
