Thanks for all the comments yesterday, the day definitely ended better than it started! I just want to get on with the job and get to January in one piece! Had the final glass of wine - rude to leave an almost empty bottle in the fridge - l and line is drawn.
Today's food:
B - toast (HEB), bacon medallions, beans (just cos I fancied it)
L - tuna salad with pickles (1.5 syns for salad cream)
D - spaghetti bolognaise, Parmesan (HEA2)

Many congratulations on your nomination @bubbs! Well deserved and I'm glad it made you smile. 😊
Sorry to hear your DH has shared his bug @ruby_eskimo but better to get it over with now than closer to your holiday.
Thinking of you @joedenise. Hope all has gone well and recovery is speedy.
You sound much brighter today @Jellybaby and that's a good menu so line well and truly drawn.👍🏼
I went to WI this morning and have joined this week's 'nearly' group along with @maddiemay and @joedenise. I needed 1.5lbs and got 0.5.☹ I felt very down about it at the time as I've had a perfect week but have cheered up a bit now.
It's going to be harder to stay on plan this coming week though. Tonight we have an unexpected invitation to a friend's birthday do. It's in a wine bar with cheese and meat platters. I plan to have dinner before we go and just pick at some SW friendly bits. We're out tomorrow night too but I'll worry about that when it happens.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA milk
L- veggie stir fry, slice of ham (S,P)
D- liver and onions (P,S), mash, LO gravy (F), veg (S)
Syns- midweek wine!😲1 -

Afternoon all, op over and done with. Can't really see anything out of the eye I've had done yet but hopefully in a day or two everything will be clearer! DH has taken the right lens out my old glasses so that I can still see reasonably well with my left eye.
Came home to an e-mailed letter from the hospital with the date for my 2nd eye to be done! Just over a month away - 4 September. Good job I changed the dates of our holiday - we were originally going away on 5 September for a month. Now leaving it until nearer the end of the year and going over to France/Belgium and maybe Germany for the Christmas markets. Not done that for several years - think it was before DH retired which was in 2016 so it's probably getting on for 10 years ago. Something to look forward to.
Hope you feel better soon @ruby_eskimo and your DH of course. At least you should both be over it by the time you go on the cruise.

Maman and Maddie well done, a loss is a loss!
Well today we had blood tests, you know me nothing is straight forward 🙄 they have difficulty getting my blood anyway, my left arm is the best. Last time she said make sure you drink plenty, appointment was 8.20, left here at 7.40, i'd had a cup of tea and 3 1/2 pints of water before i went......do you think they could get a vein? He kept saying longs they work for you that is good and we WILL get some, right arm was no good either, ended coming out my wrist!!
DH then had an xray 9.30 but it was still only 8.40 so we went for a cuppa, sat down and sod me the bloody farm alarm goes off 😱 so we all get evacuated 🤣🤣 finally got back in 9.05 ish, he more or less got called straight in, we was out before his appointment at 9.20!
A friend made weetabix cake yesterday and posted it on one of the FB pages, i said as a joke" gis a slice" 😂 she brought 2 slices round today , 1 for each of us 😍😍
Today i made some veg soup with all veg from oilo, just a couple of stock pots and black pepper from the cupboard.
I had double burger, heb, hexa , salad and chips , 1 syn for sauce

Coxy it was like a carry on film! 😂
The guy doing the bloods was lovely so that made it a bit easier while they are prodding me for veins!

Morning all,
I have been on a run this morning - shorter distance again of 3.5km but the big news is I ran the whole distance and didn't walk at all, so I'm taking that as a win. We are taking DDad and Mum to Buckingham Palace today, so a fair bit of walking involved, followed by late lunch at Zizzi. I'm going to take a hifi for the inevitable coffee shop stop!
Belly still feels bloated
Food will be:
B - poached egg, spinach, mushrooms, 1 x WM toast - P, S, 1/2 HEB
L - Zizzis ???
D - Chicken biryani - free
HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
Syns - Zizzis
Hope your eye is okay @joedenise and good news about the next appointment.
Hope you're feeling okay @ruby_eskimo and your poor arms have recovered @bubbs xCross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0
