Well done @Coxy11.  Great restraint, not once but twice or more times today. 👍  It's so worth it because you'll feel so good when you get back into target range.

Morning all, it's looking a bit soggy today :( I went for another 5k run/walk this morning early doors. Went a different route and ended up taking longer as walked more - this is not how it's supposed to go lol! Glad I got out though.

DDad is now here until Friday. I am WFH and have no main boss this week, so will go out with DDad for his paper later and run a few errands. I didn't go food shopping at the weekend so will need to shop for lunch/dinner tonight and order a delivery for tomorrow I think.

    Food today:
    B - scrambled eggs, 1 x WM toast, banana - P, 1/2 HEB, free
    L - to be determined
    D - to be determined
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar

Morning all, been raining all night here from about 7 o'clock last night.  Forecast for more of the wet stuff today although it's quite bright and windy at the moment.

What drama @bubbs but better safe than sorry particularly with the gas tanks.  Glad you managed to get back to sleep OK.

Well done @Coxy11 - you did well to avoid the cake when out with your friend and the wine with dinner.  Think that would have been the hardest for me!  Cake I can take or leave it but wine with a meal is a different matter!  Having said that I've been drinking mainly alcohol free G&Ts at the moment to keep the syns low in the hope of getting back into target range this week!

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
    L - sweet chilli noodles with veggie bits - F; S; 3
D - shepherds pie using LO lamb from yesterday, swede and carrot mash, green veg of some sort

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 3

Have frozen 6 x 2 portions of the swede and carrot mash so at least that's got rid of half the carrots I had in the fridge.  Just need to decide what to do with the other half!  Any ideas as we don't like boiled carrots?

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all.

Well done on starting the running / walking again @Coxy11 - I love getting out early in the morning.

Sounds like an exciting night @bubbs 🤣 better to be safe than sorry with these things - hope you weren't too tired after all the drama.

DH came down with "man flu" last week and it jumped to me so spent the weekend not doing anything.  Still have a bit of a cough but I'm doing better than DH.  His body temperature is all over the place still which isn't great with his epilepsy so might have to make a call to 111 if he isn't better tomorrow.

On better news, somehow, I've lost 4.5lbs this week 🤯  I've been eating lots of comfort foods, soup and ice cream (to soothe my throat so it's medicinal) so have no idea what's going on but I'm going to take it.  Did have to re-check 4 times just to make sure I wasn't seeing things 🤣  Now only have 2 lbs to go before I hit the target I had in mind for the cruise and 3 weeks to get there so might be doable.

Breakfast this morning was mango with lime and a ff yogurt.  Lunches this week is going to be picky salad plates (I cooked a small chicken in the slow cooker yesterday so that's the protein sorted) and dinner tonight is stuffed peppers with mexican style rice and salad.

Hope you all have a good day, off to crack on with some more work now.

    Morning all,

Torrential rain here from around 6am and not stopped since.

@bubbs I used to work with a lady that kept a lipstick on her bedside table in case a fire started during the night and firemen appeared!  Think a bit of lippy would be the last thing I was thinking about.

Wow fab loss @ruby_eskimo your hard work is catching up but do hope you feel better soon

I'm keeping the fluids up too @maman - loads of water yesterday and no wine 😎

Just realised we're having the same dinner tonight Ruby.

    Today's food:
    B - fruit salad, f/f Greek yoghurt
L - chicken salad, mustard dressing (1 syn)
    D - stuffed peppers

    Have a good day all!

Well done @ruby_eskimo - that's a brilliant loss.  I'm sure you can easily do the 2lb in 3 weeks if you plan well.

Must be a stuffed peppers week!  It's what we've got for lunch tomorrow!  I usually just stuff them with spicy couscous and top off with grated cheese.

Well done on your loss @ruby_eskimo. That's brilliant. 👏👏👏 Hope you both feel better soon.

Get that plan and shop done PDQ @Coxy11. I find it essential to have SW friendly ingredients at the ready.

You did well to ignore the wine @Jellybaby. I had some last night after my day of fluids but back on the wagon today. Like you @joedenise, I'd miss that far more than cake.

If you have the right things in @joedenise, you could always make soup or a stew for the freezer with your carrots. 🤔

I'm keeping up with the hourly drinks today and having a SP lunch I'm going dancing tonight so getting some Body Magic in too.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs and ham (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- cold meat (P), veg hash and pickles (S)
    D- veggie chilli (P, S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
    Syns - 0
