    Evening all ,

Thanks about bargains, got some more today 😜 Mum wanted a couple of bits from Lidl, could have got veg boxes today, we don't normally see them but would have been a waste after yesterdays haul! but i did get 600g strawberries for £1.12 and dozen free range eggs FREE!!

The man on the till said to Mum means i know you (from shopping in there) take a couple of boxes of those eggs. They are sell by today use by 1st August, so i took some but she didn't need them so i had them 😁

    Not had much food today

    Banana

    Fake KFC

Even more bargains @bubbs. Eggs were a great bonus. Quiche and Scotch eggs? 🤔

How is your mum doing? 🤗

@coxy11 , I so admire that you can run, Id love to be able to run, but its so not happening lol. I have downloaded and removed the couch to 5k so many times. I swore to myself this would be the year, and here we are, end of July and I've still not done more then the first exercise - and that near killed me lol

I am destined to be a walker :) But I can do a mile in 14.40 so not too shabby at 59 and even with the busy week I have had, I clocked up a PB of 20k steps in a day and since Sunday Ive clocked up 82k So Im pretty content with what I can actually do. I have a VO2 in the top 45% and when I do get to park run im kind of around the middle for age group - remembering I dont run - I walk :)  Just need to get that BMI down another 2 points - and that coming :)

Exercising definitely improves the day. No matter how tired I am, just getting out the house for a quick mile really helps

@joedenise I never ever ever get any TGTG bags :( Ok I do live rural and there are very few choices but never see them. Time I check it says sold out yesterday at such and such time and then all that may be showing will be Tim Hortons - which I need like a whole in the head lol Plus Im not driving 30 miles for day old doughnuts :)  When we lived in London we always used to call into Greggs to lift sandwiches for the following day, saved so much time and money as the Greggs was beside the bus stop

@maman 1.5 is so achievable you know you just have to focus for one week. Throw in a couple of speed days at the start of the week and drink plenty of fluids:smile:

@bubbs You know how to find a. bargain :) Whats the company shop?  Our lidl do the boxes but they are behind the tills so you dont see them until you have paid and only once have I bothered taking one and joining the queue again - box of oranges - and we do love fresh squeezed juice . Actually our lidl have put in a fresh orange juicer , remember they were all the rage in the 80's? Not cheap but a really nice treat

Thank you all for thinking of me. I have to admit, Im not as young as I once was and I have found it all very tiring. Mum gets it so easy lol. She gets the pleasure of visitors but still has her own sitting room to retire to so gets all the fun bits and skips the rest :)

The two girls arrived looking like ghosts, one with a dreadful chest infection, but have left us rested and fed and fit for the next stage of their epic adventure and that is what it was all about, looking out for family. And Im sure Emma had the week of her life and has now hopefully realised that pigging out on sweets/crisps and pop isnt wise and we say no for a reason :)

As exhausted as I was Thursday night, could I sleep? I tossed and turned all night and the 5 hours "sleep" I actually got was only recorded as light sleep so body was shattered before I started. Still no peace for the wicked, I had the girls on the 7:30 train and I was back here loading the WM with the first load of the day at 7:45.  Just had the time and energy to straighten the kitchen, walk the dog, get a shower and then I was headed to work. And yep just my luck, a sunny day and we were rammed, never got to sit down and had to eat my lunch by the odd mouthful as and when. But I love it there, all these lovely children with their pocket money deciding on either a slush or ice cream and what flavour slush it will be - they are just so cute and I make them laugh and feel important . For someone who never wanted children, I really enjoy it :)

I had a quick jump on the scales - the 1/2 pound had gone - but then I had egg and chips for tea - not SW - and a bread and butter roll so its probably back :) Mum was for taking us out for our tea but I just wanted the sofa and silence so it was a case of whats here and whats quick

Next set of guests are not till Next week - around the 7th and they are just for the day so Ive not got to worry about rushing to get the bedrooms sorted, I can take my time with those, just the bathroom and kitchen to get back to high shine :)

Going out for the day with my friend today - a FOOD FESTIVAL :) Its on an retail outlet so we are going to wander the stalls and then go looking for bargains we dont need :) We decided Park Run could do with out us this week, we will get our steps , and we have decided we will get coffee but will share a scone if we cant find anything healthy that we fancy - shes watching what she eats not dieting. I tease her and say she just watches it disappear down her neck :) But shes doing well with 1/2 stone off. . Im so looking forward to today, I love having time with people I love,  doing what we want to do. Our last day out together we climbed a mountain , this is going to be a different experience altogether :)

Have a lovely day all of yous, whatever plans you have xxxx

Morning all, bit cloudy and windy here this morning but showers forecast for later.  Fortunately no washing needs doing today!  The weather forecast is showing rain every day for next week so whenever the washing gets done looks like it will have to be dried on the airer - I hate having wet washing indoors!

Glad you've got a bit of downtime before your next lot of visitors @Longwalker.  Try to get some rest this week.  Enjoy the food festival - sounds lovely.

Went to get sausages out of the freezer last night for breakfast this morning and we haven't got any!  So it will be a trip to the butchers this morning to get some.  Have just moved things around on the menu plan!

    So today's food will be:

    B - breakfast hash - P; S; F
    L - fry up with sausages - P; S; F; 2
    D - steak, chips, mushrooms, onions - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
HEB - none planned but may have a couple of skinny crunch this evening
    Syns - sausages 2

    Have a good day everyone.

Brilliant @bubbs.  It's about time as you always seem to be on plan and definitely eat plenty of Speed foods.  Don't know how you manage to eat so much salad!

I ran to group this morning - just 2k but first bit is uphill 😭. Took a little backpack with a hifi bar, my book and SOTW contribution. Also took a folded shopping bag for after. Put on 1lb which tbf I absolutely and utterly deserve.

This week I’m going to be on it 100% - please nag me if I drop the ball. Will be tricky on Friday when we take DDad to Buckingham Palace. Will take a hifi bar to avoid the cake but we will eat out after. Possibly in Zizzi - will check the menu beforehand.

Off to get May haircut shortly then onto the shopping mall to buy a gift for FILs birthday. DH will no doubt want to eat lunch there.

    Enjoy your day out @Longwalker
    Whoohoo @bubbs 😊

B - weetabix choc melts, Mullerlight vanilla, blueberries and strawberries - HEB, 0.5, S
    L - who knows?
D - spaghetti bolognaise, Parmesan - free, HEA
    HEA- milk
Syns - hi fi bar 3

The food festival was great, lots of specialised foods, lots of arts and crafts stalls, bought a few bits, went round the outlet shops and spent some more.Got my eyebrows done - thats got to be 1/5il off lol  Lunch was as good as we could find, I had a chicken wrap stuffed with peppers and spinach with a couple of side salads, my friend had a ciabatta and salads so we felt very virtuous , then walked past the Italian cake stall and had a wee tiny cannoli each - I mean they were tiny, two bites and gone but so good

Im getting through the weekend as best as I can and going to draw the line Sunday night. I had decided I didnt want to go from having a house full, straight into work, straight into housework and dieting. I need a wee breather from everything. Monday is soon enough
