Brilliant haul @bubbs especially the chicken thighs and milk and all the free f&v from Olio. But best of all you got to have a break with your friend. 👍

The pork sounds delicious. I'm planning a similar recipe tomorrow, a sort of chicken supreme/pie filling. It's sort of a variation on the garlic mushroom recipe. 😋

    Finally got to sit down

    The 24hrs from hell :)

Had to shoot in for the 5:30 weigh in, weigh and leave, a 1/2lb on. Which I was expecting, perhaps more will show on next WI as Im not out of the woods yet. Indoor BBQ last night and I only had chicken  and vegetables, No burgers or sausages etc or bread. Cooked way too much as is the way of all BBQ, but Ive made the pack ups with the left overs, nowt wasted. But it was the last night everyone was here, so plenty of hilarity and alcohol till the small hours. Then Emma got very sick in the night and so I was up all night with her - crashed for a couple of hours on the sofa when she settled. So rough as a badgers bum this morning but had to make the 150 mile round trip to take her home, which included a trip the maccy D's where a large caramel frappe and triple cheese burger went down my neck ( hang over cure) then out for dinner tonight for a last meal and I ordered what I fancied and it wasnt that good ( I just knew I was going to be disappointed before I ordered, wasnt the restaurant I was favouring )

And tonight they sprung the "oh we need to get the 7am train in the morning " news :(  so the alarm is set for 6 am. Still the good news is I get my life back by 7:30 am :). I have to admit to complete exhaustion, be glad to go into work tomorrow for the rest :)

So forgive me for not mentioning anyone tonight, I just dont have the mental function about me to retain any information nor to keep re rereading posts. I will catch up in a day or two

    Morning all

Another WFH day with loads of meetings but at least it's Friday 😁 (and the big boss is going off on hols 🤣)

Hope you get a rest before your next visitors arrive @Longwalker

Can you come do my shopping @bubbs or how about I just move in with you for a few weeks 🤣

STS is good @maman but like Denise and others you know the plan inside out and you'll get what you want off next week

    Today's food:
B - fruit salad, f/f Greek yoghurt, Skinny syrup (0.5)
L - toast (HEB) with beans
D - chicken salad with chips and pickles

The Skinny syrup is almost finished and if I can't find a cheaper alternative brand won't bother buying again. I need to update the fridge, freezer and cupboards inventory before I go shopping tomorrow eek!

    Have a good day everyone!

    Hi everyone, morning.

Annoying about the scales @maman but a STS is great, and you will definitely have a loss next week if it waivered.
Glad you are okay @Longwalker, that's a lot of visitors and busyness all in one, but hope you have a bit of a break before the next deluge!
I too am WFH @Jellybaby and my boss is on a Eurotunnel as we speak although have already had 2 texts this morning!

I saw the Barbie movie last night - good, funny in places, sends a political message. Not sure the under 10s in the cinema got it.

I have been for a run this morning for the first time since May. I decided last night that I needed to do it, for both physical and mental health reasons. My legs have been aching for weeks - not sure if it's meno related (no TOTM since early June) but feels like the doms so I got my kit out last night, set the alarm for 5.45am and left the house at 6am. I ran/walked 5k - it felt good! I might run to group tomorrow - it's only 2k away - but every little helps.

    Food today:
    B - melon, grapes, strawberries - S, free
L - beans on 2 x WM toast, cheese - free, HEB, HEA
D - SW easy chicken curry with rice - free
    HEA - milk
    Syns - hi fi bar - 3

Morning all, bit showery first thing but trying to brighten up now but put washing on the airer to finish off as didn't actually do the wash until mid afternoon yesterday and didn't quite dry outside.

I have my DGD coming over this afternoon with her boyfriend (they have been together on and off since she was 13 - she's now 25!).  Not sure how much they see of each other though as they both do shifts - she's a copper in the Met and he's in the Army but based fairly locally at the moment but who knows how long for so think they're making the most of their time together.

Had to pop out this morning to buy a pepper as forgot when I went shopping!  Will be going out again this evening as have reserved a couple of TGTG bags from different branches so hopefully full of fruit and veg again as have eaten most of what we got the other day!  Still have a pack of 4 apples left and a box of cherries.

    Today's plan:

    B - overnight oats - HEB; S; F
    L - HM pizza, salad - S; P; HEA2; 7.5
    D - fish pasta bake - P; S; F; 2.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - mozzarella
Syns - 60g WM bread dough; lardons 1; Primula light 2; tsp cornflour 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Get you @Coxy11! Well done for getting out running and so early in the day! 😇 I agree that as well as the obvious physical fitness, the mental health aspect is equally important. 👍

I find it quite cathartic redoing my freezer inventory @Jellybaby. I know some people do spreadsheets (I think @joedenise does) but I just keep a paper one on the side of the microwave next to my weekly list of planned dinners. It's easy then to write my next plan and shopping list.

Thanks for the good wishes for next week's WI. I need 1.5lbs to get back in range. I won't stop there but it does take the pressure off. I have my list ready to shop later.

Hopefully, now that the guests have gone, you can get some down time @Longwalker. You'll maybe see another gain next week after all the upheaval but just do your best to choose wisely when you can.

    Today's EE plan -
    B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- LO casserole (P, F, S), pickles (S)
    D- chicken 'Supreme' (P, S, HEA 2), cubed roast potatoes (F)
    Syns - weekend wine 😁

I've given up on the spreadsheet for the freezer inventory @maman - because I'd printed it out it was getting really messy so now I just go through it towards the end of the month and then use up as much as possible in my menu planning and add things in a notes column of my menu sheet as to what I need to buy that week to cover what's in the plan.  Sounds a bit complicated and convoluted but it isn't really!  Anyway it works for me!

@bubbs - I meant to say what a fantastic haul you had at the Company Shop and from Olio.  You always do so well.  No sign of one anywhere near me and not even sure whether I'd be eligible if there was!

Glad you enjoyed your run @Coxy11 - it's the one thing I can't stand doing; didn't enjoy it even as a kid!  Much prefer to walk which is what DH and I tend to do especially when we go away in the van as there aren't any nice walks other than along the beach where we live and to be honest it gets a bit boring doing the same walks repeatedly!

How long have you got before your next lot of visitors @Longwalker?  It seems that you're constantly on the go at the moment - try and get some rest before the next lot of visitors.

Honestly can't tell you how blummin' wonderful I feel about everything today. That exercise first thing definitely helped, plus I did another walk at lunchtime with my friend, so steps already on 14k. I have just had a good meeting with another PA who is new to the organisation/role and needed some guidance. Her line manager sat next to me a few weeks ago and sleuthed who I was as thought I was so good, so put us in touch. How nice is that? I need to keep that in mind when the chaos reigns at work and when I'm feel down about stuff!

@joedenise I hated sport at school too - just not built for it - rubbish at throwing and very short legs. Amazingly though I really enjoy running now I'm 50+ :)

Great company shop haul @bubbs and the olio goodies were also great! I haven't checked here for a while, it's usually just bread products though!
