Morning,
Well.....I didn't get a letter. Also heard that the letter will only say 'you are being offered' not what the offer is. That will come in August. Let's hope it's worth the wait as I've all but checked out now. Boss had a meltdown yesterday and was close to tears. I had to run out and get her lucozade and mini cheddars to sustain her. Really not good at all.
I'm WFH the next two days so some distance from the toxicity at least. Also seeing Barbie tonight will be a good distraction!
Sounds like an ideal place to have the wake @bubbs but oh no to DH's knee! Hope he doesn't have to wait too long for an x-ray x
Great that you have an appointment for your op @joedenise. My mum hasn't heard anything about hers - or at least she's not told me. I will message her later to check.
Food today will be:
B - Weetabix choc melts, mullerlight vanilla, blueberries, strawberries - HEB, 0.5, S
L - poached egg, SW chips, beans - P, free
D - Omelette with cheese, spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes - P, HEA, S
HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar

Morning all, not as bright this morning but at least it's dry. Got the bedding all dried and put away yesterday. Was lovely to get into fresh bedding last night.
@Coxy11 - it's a problem with the NHS that everywhere has different waiting times for the same operations. My NHS appointment (which I've now cancelled) was just for the check to see whether my cataracts were bad enough to be operated on not the actual op). The operation I'm having done at Benenden - I've been paying into it for nearly 40 years so making use of it! DH is going to need his done as well but obviously will have to wait until mine are done as can't drive after it for a while.
We're going to a tyre place at some stage this morning to check with them whether they can get hold of the particular tyres we want for the motorhome and are able to fit them - it's a 6 wheeler but the middle tyres are OK for another couple of years as we had to have them changed when we were in Belgium a few years ago but means we still need 4 so that's going to be pricy as they are over £200 each!
Today's plan:
B - eggs on toast - HEB; P
L - creamy mushrooms; air fried mini new potatoes - HEA2; S; F
D - bacon chop, chips, beans, mushrooms - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - Primula Light
HEB - bread
Syns - no idea!
Bit low on syns but will have fruit and yoghurt this evening as usual.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all,
Decluttered my clothes last night and managed to fill a charity bag and three black bin bags! I've been quite ruthless. Why I was keeping clothes for thirty odd (or longer) years 'just in case', never wearing them (I can't fit a leg in some of the trousers or get skirts over my knees!) or thinking about them is madness. I can get rid of a chest of drawers now too 🤣
WFH today but feeling quite cheerful after my clear out.
Today's food:
B - toast (HEB), banana
L - orzo pasta salad
D - gammon steak, homemade wedges, broccoli cauliflower cheese (3.5 syns and HEA)
Hope you all have a good day!

Great to have a clear out @Jellybaby - very cathartic.
Drum roll please..... I have my VR letter...... although it has no details on it. Details 'to follow in August' so I'm back to waiting it out.

It's quite cathartic having a clear out @Jellybaby. Somehow it clears your head as well as the wardrobe! 😁
Yes, it's August next week @Coxy11. Hope you're feeling less stressed though.
Ouch to the cost of tyres @joedenise but expect they last a while.
I said I didn’t feel any different and I was right. Scales hovered over half a pound and settled on STS. ☹️ I've got a clear week to plan for so hopefully next week will be a loss.🤞
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA milk
L- veggie omelette (P, S), pickles (S)
D- cod (P), SW chips, mushy peas (F), tomatoes, mushroom, green stuff (S)
Syns - 0

Didn't get to the tyre place in the end as we needed to sort out one of the skylights as it leaked last night in the heavy rain - fortunately it was the one over the table and not the bed! We had to seal that one while we were away in June after getting a soaking wet bed!
While we were out we decided to pop to Dobbie's and have our free hot drink! I just had a pot of tea but DH had a luxury hot chocolate with loads of mini marshmallows and squirty cream! Not bad for £1 a month and we get 2 hot drinks a month so we'll go once a month just to have our free hot drinks. The petrol/diesel is also much cheaper there - 4p a litre on petrol and a whopping 10p a litre of diesel over the local prices so topped my car up while we were there. DH will need to top his up soon so probably do some shopping in the big Tesco when he does - seems to be cheaper than our local one where the prices go up in the summer, presumably due to the number of holidaymakers!
Shame about the scales hovering over a half loss and then settling on STS @maman but I'm sure it'll shift next week with having a clear week. I'm hoping for a decent loss this week as also have no plans to eat out and will stick to spirits rather than wine as seem to get through a huge amount of syns with wine!
