Morning all,
That's terribly poor @bubbs - I know everyone is stretched but it only takes a minute to call to update. I'm glad things went okay xx Jealous of your strawberries!
I was super super good yesterday. Served the salmon with ancient pak choi and some fine green beans. It was steamed so nobody noticed the wiltiness - result! We watched the first two episodes of The Sixth Commandment last night (true story) and I was craving crisps but I resisted. Helped that I was doing some cross stitching so my hands were busy.
Off to group shortly. Please God let me have lost something. I'm not staying to group as DIL2B is bringing pup at 10.30am then Dad being collected at 11am. I have to strip the bed, wash and dry it and get it back on for BFF and her DH coming tonight (other sets are with DD in student house in Brighton). Also have to clean bathrooms and get the house looking ship shape. Lots of body magic today
Taking melon and a hi fi to group. We are out for dinner tonight but I've been to this place before and know they do chicken skewers with salad, so will aim for that. I'm also driving so no alcohol syns

@bubbs , what a carry on !!! Still at least its now sorted but blimey, who really needs that kind of hassle, its not good enough, seriously its not. I do wonder what has happened to compassion, seems we lost it during the lockdowns
Park run isnt happening today - raining - and Ive got to go into work although thats not going to be busy either because of the rain. Still it gets me out the house and because Im working Im more organised around food - have my wee pouch of microwave lentilsEmma got her tea in the pub, and I ended up picking at her chips, but I hadn't eaten all day - again. I did fish and chips for those two - air fried chips so I had some with my moussaka creation - was really tastyTonight its pizza and salad for tea. A slice isnt going to kill me. With Emma here I go the route of least resistance , we all eat what I know she will eat. Although Ive told her we are having a roast dinner on Monday and whilst I will swap the lamb for nuggets, she is to eat the vegTomorrow we are eating out, whole family, and its a lovely restaurant with a really varied menu so Im pretty sure Ill be able to choose wisely, Got to drive down to Belfast to lift niece and friend, they are getting the bus up from Dublin. Just hope they clear customs quickly, when the nephew came he took an hour to get through!!!So busy times coming up. Oh how I long to have a 2 bedroom flat so family have to book into hotels0 -
Here was food , no pic of pitta , This

Afternoon all, this was still here from last night i didn't press send 😂
Well i went to group, my friends met me outside so i didn't have to walk in on my own 😍 Yes there was loads of tears but to be expected.
Hopefully now i have seen a few more people i won't be scared and will sleep at night, i am so tired but can't sleep as have been worried about seeing people outside the family.
Anyway , why i don't know but i gained a 1lb only had 2 doughnuts but not ate anything near normal amounts for me!
It is what it is, so i am back on grace week 🙄

Well done for going to group @bubbs and don't worry about that little gain. You need to be kind to yourself xx
Sounds like you've a plan for whilst Emma is here @Longwalker, hope you don't have to wait around too long for your niece to get through customs!
I lost 0.5lb this week. Didn't pay as consultant gave me a free BANMGAWF as a couple of new members lately and she could swing it for me.
Have almost finished my whirlwind house clean, just the floors to steam mop but pup here and friends are bringing theirs later, so might not bother!Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
Hi all,
Good you went to group @bubbs but don’t even think about that wee gain, you’ll have it off in no time and you’ve other things to deal with.
I had a 1.5 gain, no idea how as I’ve been bang on all week and well within syns. Actually wondering if I’m having enough syns but that wouldn’t cause a gain would it? I enjoy the food but the plan does confuse me at times.
@Coxy11 please come and do my housework 😁 I have absolutely no motivation or enthusiasm for it and may just read my book!Homemade burgers with chips and salad for dinner tonight and I may just have an alcohol free weekend 😇😳🤣0 -
Hello,
Please cam I join in?

Well done on your loss @Coxy11.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 We always want more but it means you're going in the right direction👍🏼.
Hope your nephew is improving.
Sorry that you and @bubbs had a gain @Jellybaby. Why is it that we can follow the plan and still gain. It's just so frustrating.
I usually drink on all 3 days at a weekend but am amazed how many syns are freed up when I don't! @joedenise says that she doesn't lose if she has too few syns and I know when I was getting to target I always had the full 105. I've got so used to using most of my syns on booze now that if I have an AF day then I always end up with syns left over.
I think going to group and seeing people was the best thing you could have done today @bubbs. It served a purpose even if you did get a small gain. 🤗 Incidentally, have you had any trouble finding jars of beetroot? 🤔 I've been using up stocks from the cupboard but Aldi haven't had any for a couple of weeks. I'll have to look further afield.
Enjoy your meal tomorrow @Longwalker. It'll be a real break for you not having to feed people. Hope you find something you really like on the menu, preferably SW friendly but enjoying it is the most important thing.
Our meal out was fairly ordinary yesterday. I chose a chicken breast with mash and veg. It was meant to be a pepper sauce too but that seemed more like gravy. I had tea while others had puddings. I did share a super bottle of wine with my friend though. I'm allowing an over generous 30 syns for the wine and syns in gravy and anything else like butter in mash etc. Despite the basic meal, it was great to meet up with friends who we've not seen in a while.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F)
L- ham (P), hash (F,S), pickles (S)
D- Sweet and Sour chicken (P,S), noodles (F)
Syns- Ben's Sauce 1.5, weekend wine😁0
