I've never seen the chicken @bubbs but I use the ham in Austrian ham hash as I can cut it into chunks.

    You're right @joedenise. At least I'll know what I'm dealing with. 🤔

@bubbs , take your rest where you can, especially now

I rarely sleep more then 4 hours a night so if I need a nap, I take one

@joedenise, I feel your pain, and please dont take this the wrong way, but for me as a relative newbie, its good for me to see old timers struggle so thank you for posting

@maman fingers crossed the scales are good for you

I finally did it, 2.5 lb off so just a pound I think before I get another new number to start with :) I think, because Im so ruddy tired I dont have the energy to go down and check my books

It has been really hard to get to this point, believe me, having so many issues around food which are increasing as I get older, deciding to use SW maybe wasnt my best idea. But I need the accountability of a group and WW have gone over to online only. I have struggled with SW because of the free food/syn situation, it just doesn't sit right on my calorie in and out head space

Also being an active alcoholic really doesn't help :)

But thank you all so much, for letting me let of steam and moan and for keeping me on track, you all being here means the world to me - thank you

I hope you dont mind if I stick around a while longer? Kicking and moaning through another 7lb?

Morning all, it's going to be a busy one today.  DH has 2 appointments - physio this morning and a clinical assessment this afternoon.  In between the two we need to pick up our prescriptions, go to Tesco's as we're nearly out of tonics!  Can't have that!  Gin with anything else is horrible.  DH also needs to take his old golf clubs down to the Pro shop at his club as the pro is taking in any and all clubs no matter how old - and some of these are pretty old.  It will be good to have them gone and not cluttering up the place!

We also need to get everything we need into the motorhome - and I haven't even written my list of what needs to go in!  The only thing we've both added so far is our clothes as that's pretty easy with only going away for a couple of days.  Haven't even sorted out what we're going to be eating yet other than fry ups on both Saturday and Sunday morning!  Can't have things that I"ve already got planned as they need baking (would use either the halogen or Remoska if at home - neither of which are available in the motorhome unless on electric hook up which we won't be).  The gas oven is next to useless so hardly ever gets used.

Good luck for WI @maman.  Hopefully you won't be too far out of target and easily shifted - says she who only needed to shift a lb and couldn't even do that this week!  Not likely to happen this week either with being away and drinking more and also eating out but it will be a case of Good when I can and Careful when I can't!

@Longwalker no offence taken.  It definitely gets harder to shift the weight as you get older.  Hopefully you'll hang around kicking and moaning even after you lose the next 7lb to get to where you want to be.  It really helps to have the support of others.

    Today's plan:

    B - weetabix with milk, fruit - part HEA2; HEB; S; F
    L - cheese omelette - P; part HEA2
    D - mixed bean goulash, rice - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - milk/cheese
Syns - none planned - saving them for the weekend!

    Have a good day everyone.

Edit:  change of plan for lunch as there's some corned beef needs using up so it'll be a corned beef salad for 1.5 syns

    Morning all,

Didn't manage to get on yesterday as another day in the office. Crazy busy with processes that should work but never do (travel booking, HR notifications, Finance) the list goes on.

I am particularly skint this week. I had nothing to take for breakfast yesterday but remembered my Spark$ card had a free croissant offer, so cashed that in for breakfast. Took LO chilli and some fruit for lunch and had a hi fi on the train home. Dinner was grilled gammon, JP, egg and baked beans courtesy of DH.

WFH for two days straight now and really need to get my head in the game as I'm weighing naked what I weighed at group last Saturday. Can sympathise with those trying to get back into target after a while away. It's so flipping hard. Yes stay with us @Longwalker as it's good to have support.

Sorry it's been so stressful trying to sort arrangements for your DDad @bubbs x Just awful when you're dealing with all the emotion too. Sending love to you and your family x

    Today's food:
    B - M&S maple syrup flavour porridge, milk/water, blueberries - HEB, 1/2 HEA, S
L - Cheese, spinach and mushroom omelette, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles - HEA, S, P
    D - Kosharry - new recipe - free
1/2 HEA - milk for tea
    Syns - Hi fi bar - 3

    Morning all.

Glad you're starting to get things sorted @bubbs - here's hoping the death certificate materialises today or tomorrow.

Good luck for weigh in later @maman - I hate that bloated feeling so hoping it starts to go for you soon.

Agree that the support of the thread is brilliant @Longwalker - I loosely follow the principles of SW and despite not being 100% on it, everyone is still so welcoming here.

Hope you manage to get everything done today that you need to @joedenise, sounds like a very busy day!

Had an early start this morning to get checked in for our cruise 🥱 but it's all done now so only 4 weeks to go 😁  Really in need of a break, especially something that's going to be so relaxing (hopefully).  Managed a new personal best at 5k yesterday (it's not all jogging, but the walking stints are getting smaller) and have put a skirt on today that's a little looser than the last time I wore it.  Aiming for 3lbs off before we go away so lets see what happens.

Planning on some more strength training this evening 🤞  Breakfast was shredded wheat minis and a satsuma, lunch is some more leftover stir fry and dinner is some leftover chinese style curry with some added broccoli on the side.

Hope you all have a good day!

Apologies @Longwalker as I missed congratulating you on the loss. That's some going - don't think I've ever had more than a lb loss apart from the very first week! Have never been SOTW either.

I hear ya @beanielou on the chocolate!

The maple syrup flavoured porridge sachets were okay - not very flavoursome and not very sweet either, so had a sprinkling of sweetener on it. Have just cut up a galia melon that was smelling very ripe in the fruit bowl. Have had half and plan to eat the other half later if I fancy it.

I'm walking/talking with a recently bereaved friend over lunchtime. He also has major job worries, so a lot to get off his plate. Means I get my steps in though, so not complaining.
