    Don't like this new forum!

Well have literally just walked in from doctors and dh's appointment! Hi appointment was 11.50 got in at 1.10, out at 1.40 and he is straight on the sick! 😱
Doctor went mad , why are you at work? He said because i am a man and we don't do doctors usually!
By the time i had dropped him back at work to take sick note was not worth coming home, so as we had both had nothing to eat all day so sat in tesco car park and shared his pack up 😂 i had the yoghurt 1/2 syn, grapes and banana, he had the cheese and onion roll

I don't like it either!  Certainly not an improvement that I can see.  No doubt we'll get used to it over time.

I'm going to reserve judgement on the new forum until I get used to it. 🤔 At the moment I'm finding (on my phone) that it's not so easy to just check bookmarked threads.

I often make a frittata/Spanish omelette @beanielou. I think they need potato to be really filling. If you haven't got any LO, then quickly ping one and slice it up. Then I fry the potato along with onion and whatever else I've got in the fridge like mushrooms, peppers and tomatoes before adding the beaten eggs. They definitely taste better with some cheese on top before putting under the grill but that depends how much HEA I'm planning to use that particular day.

So pleased your ghee free curry worked out well @Longwalker. As @joedenise said, there's no limit to how much tomato puree you use. perhaps a sprinkle of sweetener or balsamic vinegar would help caramelise the onions.🤔 Like you, I always soften the onions in the microwave first so that saves a bit of time.

Is the doctor hoping your DH's knee will improve with rest while he's off sick @bubbs or is he being referred on? I'm just going on the fact you said he needs a new one. I did smile at you sharing his pack up in the car park. Romantic picnic?🥰

🤞🏼 our surgery has got back to normal since Covid. We still have a duty doctor on every day and if we ring at 8 a.m. then we'll get an appointment. A named doctor takes a little longer (about 2 weeks) but they'll make a follow up appointment in advance if the GP says to come back. We can have face to face with a nurse practitioner or trainee GP too and they're very good at calling in their GP mentor if they need a second opinion.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
    D- sausage casserole (P,S), penne F)
    Syns- Aldi sausages 1

    Maman,

No he has to have physio as well, got to go for bloods, i also have to go for bloods first appointment we can get is 3rd August!

He has to buy a better knee brace, he wears one constantly because of the pain but the doctor said he needs a different sort. Another £40! but if it helps it's worth it.

He also has high BP, but is super stressed with work (blessing is disguise being put on the sick) He has to do BP twice a day and send the results in. They give you a BP monitor to borrow now, i was surprised! He has just done it and it has dropped quite alot from earlier, so hopefully will settle.
They need to watch though as most of his family have had heart disease :(

That's great news @bubbs and a weight off your mind (and your mum's). 👍

Has your DH got the BP monitor yet? DH had to do the same a while back and before one became available he'd bought his own.

Friend is unwell so Thursday's planned dinner is postponed. I'm sorry of course but not from a SW point of view. 😁
