Have a big hug @annabanana82. 🤗 I'm sure it's the disappointment that's getting to you. Perhaps you could have a weekend away or a day out when you're both feeling better. 🤔

Our anniversary is in a few weeks. It's on a Sunday and DH will be working in the day. Usually we'd go to our favourite restaurant but it concentrates on roasts on a Sunday and closes early and I don't want to pay for a roast I can do just as well myself.  Maybe we'll go on the Saturday instead. 🤔

We were really hot in the theatre too @bubbs. It was cool when we arrived but then they switched off the air con and it got hotter and hotter. It was better in the second act, maybe because people (including me) complained to staff in the interval. 🤣

I'm feeling really stuffed after my dinner. That's nothing new for a Sunday but just reminds me of needing to get a few (or more) pounds off. ☹️

    Big big hugs @ annabana82

Dissapointing  but at least you spent time together

Me and Mr L are lucky if either one of us remember ( says a lot but hey ho )

Stuck to my plan, so far. Roast dinner tonight was absolutely beautiful and I finished before anyone lol. I was very hungry and so looking forward to it. It wasnt huge, 2 slices of chicken, 2 potatoes made into air fried roasties and peas carrots and cabbage, but I really really enjoyed it, something I rarely say about food

Ill enjoy tomorrows curry more, I know I can cut the oil by microwaving the onions in a drop of water and adding the spices for a minute, so a spray of oil should do, just to release the spice oils, cooking low and slow will help as well. Chicken is already cooked so its just getting the gravy right

This is the first week in 12 that my plan has effected what the rest of the family have eaten, Chicken dinner - Home made stuffing - didnt happen. Tomorrows curry - no onion bhajees or samosas nor garlic naan, Ive a bag of spinach, had a tray of mushrooms to bulk it out - along with the onions and tomatoes to make the sauce. But I have bacon etc to make a good filling lunch so fingers crossed there will be no moaning

Weighed myself yesterday morning before park run, and if that translates to Wednesday Im am going to be doing a happy dance for the rest of the week :)

Ive mentioned before about this wedding in Florence in October, which is what the diet is all about? Anyways I thought to myself Im broke, I cant afford a new wardrobe on top of flights etc, so this morning I tried on the summer dresses that have been tucked away for the past 20 years.  All but one fits :) And guess what? So does my wedding dress :)

And as my wedding dress was a cocktail dress and we married in June - guess what Im choosing to wear for an afternoon wedding in a vineyard in Tuscany :)

Morning all, that is the happiest post I've seen from you @Longwalker and well done on actually enjoying what you've eaten.  It's good to see.  Let's hope that you can do that happy dance for the rest of the week.  If you carry on enjoying what you're eating I'm sure that will happen.  They are great NSV (non scale victories) with all those summer dresses bar one fitting and even fitting into your wedding dress!  No way could I fit into mine these days but that's good really as I was so underweight it definitely wouldn't be a good look or a NSV!  The cocktail dress for a wedding in a vineyard in Tuscany sounds brilliant.

You don't have to go without onion bhajis and naan if you don't want to as long as you make them yourself.  There is definitely a recipe for bhajis on the website and you can make a sort of naan with equal quantities of self raising flour and natural yoghurt and a bit of baking powder.  I made some yesterday to have with our keema curry.  Was nice but you don't get a very large one for 4.5 syns so probably not worth the effort if I'm honest.

Hugs @annabanana82 - such a shame when things don't go to plan.  Perhaps you could do something special with your DH when his health is better, perhaps a weekend away or even just go out somewhere together for a day.  I know it won't be your anniversary but at least you could spend some time together.

Will be leaving here around 11am for the hospital so food is going to have to be a bit flexible today!  So plan roughly:

    B - cheese omelette - HEA; P
L - something at the hospital - hopefully they'll have a jacket potato or a sandwich with WM bread!
    D - pulled pork roll; salad - HEB; P; S

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - WM roll
Syns - no idea - depends what I end up with at the hospital!

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

    Well done @Jellybaby – that’s amazing x

Big hug to you @annabanana82 – we don’t even buy anniversary or valentine cards anymore – don’t feel a piece of card makes all that much difference to us. We had our silver anniversary last year and went to the Isle of Wight for a long weekend as it coincided with Platty Jubes and everywhere we wanted to go in Europe was extortionate. We also wanted to see the celebrations. This year we went to a Thai restaurant with a voucher we got from ILs for Christmas – last of the big spenders!! I think there’s a lot of pressure to do SOMETHING for anniversaries and some folks make such a big deal of it. I hope your DH is improving and that you’re feeling brighter today x

We had a good weekend. BFFs DH cooked Korean pork with rice – it was amazing. I had some rose wine and 4 rum and diet cokes at the venue. We danced – a lot. No aircon in the venue so meant for a very sweaty night. We were treated to an amazing fruit salad with 5% fage yoghurt plus doorstep bacon sandwiches yesterday morning. I only had half of one sandwich, but could have eaten much more. Yesterday we went to a beer/food festival but I just had a diet coke. Back on track now.

I’m in the office today. Food is:

B – overnight oats, cherries, mullerlight vanilla – HEB, free, 0.5

    L – M&S orzo salad, pineapple, banana, grapes – 2.5, free

D – SW sweet chilli chicken, rice, green beans – 1, free, S

    HEA – milk

Syns – hi fi bar plus 4 so 7 total

Not a lot of speed happening today. Think of another couple of SP days this week but need to plan those tonight. DDad back with us from today for 10 days…..

🤞you get a positive result at the hospital today @joedenise and then not too long waiting for the procedure. In our area they've added a layer of waiting for cataracts. There was a time when an optician could make a direct referral but now it has to go via the GP. ☹️

Congratulations on the NSV with your dresses @Longwalker. Great motivation to keep going. 👍 I do hope your family are supportive of SW changes to your menus. I think they're lucky that you do all the planning and cooking for them. 😇

It's a good feeling to get back on plan after the weekend @Coxy11. I've saved syns for weekends ever since I started SW and, although not the official way, it's worked for me. 😁

We don't do cards or gifts either (except for birthday cards) but it's good to enjoy some time together. Our wedding anniversary in 2020 was during Rishi's Eat Out to Help Out but we missed the reduction as it was on a Thursday! Bad planning for our wedding! 🤣

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, fried egg and bacon (P), mushrooms (S)
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- gammon (P), SW chips (F), roast vegetables, green stuff (S)
    Syns--0 😁 First time for a month!

Probably expecting a wee gain tonight.
    Hopefully still in target.

@joedenise , I was feeling the love yesterday for sure :)  But then I crashed and burned - 2 cakes disappeared down by throat and I didnt notice the going of them lol. Hope all went as planned at the hospital today

@coxy11, sounds like a great weekend and so well done for resisting the whole sandwich. Ive just made bacon rolls for those two and it is so hard to say nope, not today

@maman They are supportive in their ways. Hubby was over the moon that I was in my wedding dress. He does moan a bit about not getting everything he likes BUT because Ive taken over making his lunch boxes, cos I always have stuff like couscous at hand, hes being fed a lot better on work days :) So as I say, cant have it both ways :) Yes I do all the planning, shopping and cooking, mum is no longer fit enough, her limits are a cup of tea and a sandwich or something she can ping in the microwave. Mr L is great about the house and garden, he will even put his work clothes in the machine and help me hang out, but cooking and ironing are not for him

@beanielou , fingers crossed its a small one xxx

So why didnt I get to have a bacon butty? Well I had decided that today was the day I was for cleaning out the top cupboards in the kitchen - all the baking foods, all the baking tins and saucepans etc. Mr L climbed up, passed to me, I decided on keep or dump or charity , every thing washed and put away. So then I thought might as well do the drawers - so much space in them now :) And then I went sod it, we will do the sideboard. Now in the sideboard tucked hidden under a pile of linens I found a Heston Christmas pudding, the one with the orange which I was given back in 2007 I think it was. So cos it was being binned I said sod it lets open it and see what it was like. Well it was perfect. Hadn't shrunk or dried or anything so I thought might as well taste it - and I had a slice. OMG it was amazing. About a zillion syns Im sure but it was so good. It really was a tiny tiny piece and I enjoyed every morsel :)

But Im determind for this weight loss this week so bacon butty was turned down and I took a nectarine :) I shall be claiming my halo as well :)

So kitchen is now cleared of much junk, I have two completely empty drawers, theres two boxes of stuff for the charity shop and a full bin bag of out of date baking stuff , mind I didnt check the dates on the chocolate bars, just put them back in :)

Back from the hospital - much quicker than expected!  The letter said up to 3 hours and I was only there 45 minutes.  Have signed the consent form for the cataract surgery to my right eye and now just need to wait for a date.  Only took the appointments team 2 days to call me after I'd left them a voice message so hopefully I'll be getting a date for the op within the next few days.  I'd really like it done this month so that I can at least get new glasses before we go to France which needs to be 4 weeks after the op.

Well done on the clearing out @Longwalker.

🤞 for a very small gain @beanielou and that you're still within target.  Good luck.
