It's been hot and sunny all day here, forecast rain didn't appear this morning. I just did one load in the end, the other can wait until tomorrow. I've even ironed a couple of linen things straight off the line as they'd have been too dry if I'd washed them in Turkey. Apologies @joedenise, I think you said you don't do ironing! 🤣

Meals have been easy since we got back as I've used potatoes from the freezer that I prepped to use up fresh stuff before we went away. Chips on Friday, JPs yesterday and roast potatoes today. I'll definitely do that again, especially the HM oven chips.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, fried egg and bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
    L- Spanish omelette (P, F, S), ham (P), salad (S)
D- beef in 'red wine' (P, S), roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
    Syns - cornflour 1, weekend wine 😁

You're right @maman I don't do ironing!  However I don't have anything linen which I know would have to be ironed!  I did a machine load after all and wished I hadn't bothered!  Hadn't been out more than about 20 minutes when the heavens opened so I had to wait for it to stop a couple of hours later to get it back in and then did a rinse and spin before putting it on the airer.

Still got one load to do but that will have to wait until Tuesday, assuming the weather forecast is OK as will be at the hospital tomorrow seeing a consultant ophthalmologist about my cataracts.  Hoping that he agrees they should be done as I absolutely hate having to have 2 pairs of glasses - can't have varifocals at the moment as the difference between reading and distance is too far apart to make it possible.

I have the miseries so will keep it short.

On the plus side I don't have a Thai meal to account for on syns.

The flip side for a variety of reasons our anniversary was a rather a damp squib.

Dad was ok, still not gaining weight though 43kg.
He was shouty when we got there but settled down, asked him what the matter was nothing, so Mum says why you shouting? His normal answer , i dunno 😂
He is eating his breakfast but not his lunch , the nursing assistant says he will do everything for you, he had 2 milkshakes and a high protein apple juice, banana and piece of cake!

My niece is fine thanks .

Anna hope you are ok? Happy Anniversary x

Thank you, I'll be fine tomorrow hopefully.

I initially wanted a weekend away but as my Hubby's health is so unpredictable, we scaled back, and settled on an afternoon wander and have a meal out somewhere that took our fancy.

Then the heavens opened, and our wander was cancelled. He suggested the cinema which we had planned for tomorrow, that included taking a child. I had some sweets in the cinema, coupled with some hormonal bloating, seemingly star fortnight plus, I had no appetite so I've not eaten since.

This is not what I had in mind for my 20th Wedding anniversary. I don't think my OH gets why I'm so miserable now especially as we never celebrate our anniversary, but miserable I am.
