Afternoon all
Thanks everyone.
Longwalker you have more resistance than me 😂😂
Well when we left here at 8.25 it was 26 degrees! Then OMG we had an almighty down pour, we have had a couple of showers since we were back but it's still muggy!
Maddie enjoy your break away.

Hi all,
Scales showed a 1.5lb loss this morning - it wavered between 2lb and 1.5lb and settled on 1.5lb, so I had to pay. Need 2lb more to be at top end of target. Had grapes at group, then HEB of puffed wheat, strawbs, blueberries and mullerlight vanilla when I got home at midday after mooching around the town.
I am having coffee with a hifi bar now. We are off to BFFs tonight and her husband is a chef, so will be cooking for us. We are going to a funk and soul night in their town venue, so hoping to boogie off anything bad. BFF barely drinks so I too will moderate as our DHs will more than make up for it! We are staying the night so probably a full English in the morning, then home to normality!

Welcome back @maman great you had a relaxing holiday. Have a lovely time everyone else off on hols or evenings out.
Drum roll please….5lb off this morning! Didn’t do anything out of the ordinary this week 😁 but I’ll take it with bells on 🤣 Now to keep it going and not ruin it this week!0 -
Wow! Just Wow @Jellybaby. That's an amazing loss! Many congratulations on 5 lbs! 👏👏👏
Shame about the scales hovering @Coxy11 but 1.5lbs is still a good result. 👏👏👏 Hope you get the 2lbs you need next week but don't let it spoil your evening. Great to have a meal specially cooked by a chef! 😋
You're making me feel guilty @maddiemay. Having just come back from holiday, been to the theatre this afternoon and just poured a drink. 😉 Like @Coxy11 though, it's back to normality now... until the next time. 🤣 Enjoy your break in the caravan.
Hope you enjoyed your theatre trip and buffet @bubbs. It's a great feeling when you've got back into target range just before an evening out. Perfect timing. 👍
We're just having the most prolonged rain of the day here @joedenise but it's still very humid. I've got a bit of holiday washing to do but not much as I did most of it in our apartment before coming back. Tomorrow afternoon looks promising so I'll put the machine on in the morning and have it ready to go out.
Do post that Chinese recipe @Coxy11 and let us know what you're fancying in the new book @Longwalker. I'm always up for a new recipe.
I just had a coffee in the theatre so have stuck to plan.
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), strawberries (S) and yogurt (F), HEA 1 milk for drinks
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), salad bits (S)
D- meatballs in tomato sauce (P. S), spaghetti (F), HEA2 Parmesan
Syns - weekend wine 😉

Wow, @Jellybaby - 5lbs is a phenomal loss, all done 👏👏👏.
We still haven't had any rain to speak of although there were a few spots this afternoon but it is definitely very humid. Great that you managed to get most of your holiday washing done before you came home @maman so don't have too much to do. I managed to get 2 loads of bedding and a lightweight duvet washed, dried and folded yesterday and they only took a couple of hours to dry as it was so hot.
I've ordered the PON book and should be arriving tomorrow - at £3 it would be rude not to! Looking forward to seeing some new recipes.
I did make the flatbreads and they were quite nice but not really worth 4.5 syns each but I had the syns to spare so not a problem. Still being good and keeping fairly low syn and drinking 0% G&Ts (0.5 syn for 50ml).

@Jellybaby what a great loss. @Coxy11 a good start to your quest to be back in target range. @maman I smiled at your comment too. Some big lifestyle changes after retirement i.e. moving 150 miles back to my home country and nearer to our families, plus some long term ill health issues meant that we left our active social groups behind and me not being able to drink alcohol (boo hiss). OH can still drink, but does not find it much fun without "the gang". Theatres and cinemas are situated miles away and we have settled into a quieter life with coffees and cake and old folks specials for lunchtime meals. Life is different but it is right for us now and we are happy.
Back to SW, buffet lunch was good, but of course ate too much, no matter it will all come right in the end. I am taking the Linen culottes I wore today on holiday, I will pick my Syns and hopefully the waist will not become too tightThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. OMG @jellybaby, what did you do? Cut your throat? lol A fantastic loss for a week, Id be dancing on the ceiling myself xxx@maddiemay, sometimes a wee blow out is needed and USUALLY as long as its not cake and pastry , it sorts itself out ( cake and pastry are now a no no here )
Well apart from special occasions
@joedenise, you have more will power then me - I do scotch, theres no diet or alcohol free type so I have to use my syns for that. Thats how it is and I know all the arguments against but once an alkie - always@coxy11, good for. you for taking the hit on half a pound. I think I would have argued the tossStill I take my glasses off and cant see so they could tell me anything
@maman, not had a real good look yet, but the glance threw was good. At only £3 its worth a punt. They were aligned to SW and WW but SW have asked them to stop using their name. They show the calories and carbs but most of the recipes I stoped at were SW free0 -
Morning all, we didn't get the promised rain yesterday, just a few spots in the afternoon. Looking bright again this morning but don't think I've got enough of anything to do a machine load of washing.
@Longwalker - Agree with you that at £3 it's worth a punt. I had a look at the PON website last night and there are pictures of all the recipes in the book. Once I get my copy later today I'll go through and write the syns per portion at the top of the page. It's easier to do it immediately rather than waiting until I want to try one of the recipes! I'll use a pencil in case I have to guess the syns of anything because of not having access to the app at the moment! Looking forward to having a look at the actual recipes. The chicken in yellow bean sauce looks interesting - have to say I don't think I've ever seen yellow bean sauce - has anyone else? Banana bread brownies sound nice but they're going to be high syn I suspect (128 calories each so probably about 6.5 syns each). There seems to be quite a few high syn puddings in there. The millionaires ice cream looks nice - if I've got the stuff I may stick the ice cream bowl in the freezer to give that a whirl at sometime but don't know when - will have to wait until I've cleared a bit of space for it in the freezer!
Glad you enjoyed the theatre @maman and well done on only having a coffee - suppose it helped that it was a matinee and you could still enjoy some wine in the evening!
Hope you enjoyed your buffet and the theatre @bubbs. Good idea to eat before going so you don't need to spend money on very expensive food in there.
Food planned for today:
B - fry up - sausages, egg, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes - P; S; F; 2
L - bacon sandwich - HEB; P; 3.5
D - pulled pork, wedges, corn on the cob, salad
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - LF sausages 2; butter 3.5
Have a good day everyone.
