    Evening all

Longwalker glad you  enjoyed your food, i enjoy mine too much hence SW 🤣🤣

    Well done Beanie 👏👏

Denise, hope you don't wait too long.

Had Mum on the phone upset, trying to bully her into having Dad home 😡 she said of course i want him home but he cannot walk, i can't lift him, what if he falls? They said you will have a full care package 4 times a day, she said what's happening for the other 22 hrs a day?!!!

They then had the cheek to say can't one of your daughters move in?
Mum said no, they all have there own families and work full time!

Well we will move him then, Mum said no you won't, i was told he can stay there as long as he needs to be there, he is happy there, he likes the staff, they have his dietary needs sorted and can deal with his stoma well there. (not like the hospital) Nearly everyday he has to have his bed changed, Mum couldn't manage that every day, she can't even do their bed she has a cleaner and she does it!

Then the magic word was mentioned............funding!

The manager there said Dad has no time limit to stay there, so she is going to make an appointment with him.

    Anyway food today

2 ryvita, half hexab, half hexa cheese spread, ham and speed.

Well done @beanielou!, 👏👏👏 A wee loss! Much better than the wee gain you were expecting. 🤣

Good news from the hospital @joedenise. 🤞for an early appointment.

Sounds like they're trying to find a cheap option for your dad @bubbs. ☹️ Hopefully the manager will support you in demanding that he stays where he is as they offer what he needs. I know you'll fight but it's so wearing. You sound in just the right mood to be taking on the  GP surgery too. 👍

I was so determined to have a syn free day, I made up my own mustard to go with the gammon. Hot, hot, hot! 😋

    Morning!

    Well done @beanielou x

Stand your ground @bubbs - it's ridiculous them suggesting DDad comes home when your DMum won't be able to cope, and god help your GP surgery when you speak to them!!

I'm meeting a friend at lunchtime for a walk and talk. He recently lost his Mum and is feeling very low. It will do me good to get out of the house as it's a WFH day. I went over syns yesterday as was piggy after dinner and had some chocolate. Need to get back in the zone after the weekend binge.

    Food today will be:
    B - All Bran, strawberries, blueberries, mullerlight vanilla - HEB, S, 0.5
    L - Omelette with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, cheese - P, S, 1/2 HEA
    D - spaghetti bolognaise, parmesan - Free, 1/2 HEA
    HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar 3 plus 0.5 so 3.5 planned

Morning all, looking a bit grey this morning and rain forecast for later.  Think we've got to wait until Thursday for another dry day so will leave washing until then!

Well done @beanielou - a lb loss when you were expecting a small gain is brilliant.  You must be well inside your target range now.

The home are being absolutely ridiculous @bubbs.  No way could your mum cope with your dad at home and to suggest that one of the daughters moves in is really stupid.  Definitely sounds like they want rid of your dad, probably on costs grounds, but it definitely seems to be the right place for him.  I know you'll stand firm on this.

God help your GP surgery when you get there.  Why do they make everything so difficult?  Hope you manage to actually see/ speak to someone today.  I suspect your surgery has only been like this since Covid - I know mine has.  Even when you manage to get an appointment it's never a telephone call from a doctor it's always a nurse, paramedic or even a Health Care Assistant!  It was hard enough getting an appointment pre Covid but it's even worse now.

    Today's plan:

    B - breakfast hash - P; S; F
    L - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
D - spicy cottage pie, veg - P; S; F (using up the LO keema curry from the other night!)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned (need to rein it in as went way over yesterday as ended up with a sandwich, but at least it was WM bread! and also had a 99 cornetot type thing!)

    Have a good day everyone.
