@Longwalker sounds like you're thinking a bit more about what you are going to eat.  The curry will actually be 1.5 syns per portion not nearly syn free!  A Tablespoon of oil is 6 syns so bear that in mind.  It must be hard serving cakes/scones and hot dogs all day and not eating any of it!

    Hi all,

WI today saw a 1.5lb gain which is fine as I ate a boatload of biscuits and bread this week. It has given me the kick I need to get back on it. Hubby is on a health kick too do that makes life easier no more evening snack and more 3 mile walks.

We will be eating out Sunday, but we're happy to go for healthier options and due to abysmal public transport we'll be driving so no alcohol either. Just need to decide where we're going!

    Food today

B: overnight oats, blueberries hex b
L: had a huge fruit salad as cupboards are almost bare.
D: Sweet potato and chickpea curry

Playing cricket tonight so feel I've had a good first day back on plan with speed foods and body magic.

    Tomorrow might be protein rich!

Good planning @Longwalker. I'm now fancying kippers! nomnomnom

At least you know where the gain is from @annabanana82 - glad you've come away motivated. My group is really good for that so definitely worth staying for.

I am half way through my latest SP day. Feeling full and satisfied, not bloated at all. Think the cous cous did for me yesterday plus lack of fluid.

Boo to the new boss @Jellybaby. At least you won't have them for long, so every cloud!

I have just realised that I should have had +1 day annual leave incrementally for the last 4 years! Have been diddled out of 6 days annual leave over that time. This is what I mean about chaos. Nobody tells you anything and I found out by accident when dealing with a query!

Thanks @coxy due to work I'm no longer able to stay, just seeing the numbers and being 1/2lb away from going up a stone bracket helped.

As I'm just weighing now I've decided to call it a day, at least for the summer. I shall continue to weigh once a week, follow plan and save the £5 a week.

@joedenise, thanks for that - told you I need to get the books out again :) TBH because 99% of my intake is from the SP/Free/Protein lists and I always keep my HEA and B accounted for, so I never bother about a bit of oil when family cooking. Nor do I panic over a drizzle of brown sauce once a week on my bacon. Seriously such small amounts so rarely - but this week Im going to do my very best to record everything

@annabanana82 I know myself how quick bread and biscuits land on the hips - I got my gain that exact same way. But you know where its from so you know they have to go again.  There was a woman in group last week who didnt realise a custard cream was 3 syns and was eating 4 or 5 a day !!! So she tossed those and yet still gained. Turns out she didnt syn her meals - just treats lol. Its funny but sad as well to be so confused over what she should be doing. I think we have her sorted now , I hope so, shes getting so frustrated not knowing how shes gaining

@coxy11, I love my kippers - and sardines and mackerel . So upset last week, I lifted two tins of peppered herrings from lidl, got them home - both tins blown. Now they arent my first choice but they are in brine and relatively cheap and I was really looking forward to them. Anyways took them back - no receipt but this is where it gets really weird, she says I can exchange because HO knew there was a problem. But all the tins were blown and still on the shelf. So I said Im hardly going to exchange two blown cans for 2 different blown ones am I? Like has she not heard of botulism? I can not believe they are still on sale!!  I said keep them and left. Luckily I got some John West Kippers sat in the cupboard. Bit of vinegar and black pepper and the poached eggs - yummy :)
