Morning all, it's looking like a nice morning but again rain forecast for later. We didn't get the rain until quite late yesterday evening and it's forecast for similar today.
@Longwalker - I was being facetious about DH milking it! I know how painful it is after a fall as I had one and damaged my right shoulder a couple of years ago and even now I haven't got full movement back. Sorry if it came across differently! Did you actually check the syns for the German sausage as I'd be very surprised if it's only 1/2 syn as most sausages are quite high syn? I know they are much meatier than British sausages but would still have thought it would be higher. Unfortunately I can't check at the moment as not been back to WI yet after my holidays although think I'll probably be going next week! Good luck with getting to your stone loss soon.
Didn't get all the shopping yesterday but as I need to go into the local town for my waxing appointment this morning I'll pick up a couple of bits I couldn't get in Lidl yesterday from Tesco. I've also made an appointment for a mammogram first thing as my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer about a month ago and had a double mastectomy last week and being over 70 now don't get automatic recalls so thought I'd get one done to be on the safe side.
Was quite late last night by the time we got back from DH's optician's appointment and doing the shopping so ended up only having a banana sandwich and a couple of biscuits last night - think I'd got over hungry so didn't really fancy anything else. DH said he wasn't hungry either! No doubt we'll make up for it today.
So today's plan:
B - Marmite on toast - HEB; F
L - ham salad with avocado - P; S; F; 3.5
D - chicken tagine, couscous - P; S; F (made too much couscous yesterday!)
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - avocado 3.5
Have a good day everyone.

Hey guys! so I bit the bullet and joined last night and got a 6 week countdown which will take me up to my holiday. I hated seeing the number on the scales but hopefully it's the last time I see that figure! My issues is weekends (as i'm sure is most) so plan is to keep most of my syns for then.
Looking forward to following everyones journeys. have a good day!0 -
Morning all,
Just typed a long post and lost it so apologies if I've missed anyone or anything! My brain is mush just now between work, parents, and all things related to my age!
Hope you're DH is feeling better this morning @joedenise
Well done to all the losers and welcome to the newbies joining us.
Another WFH day and quite honestly, I'm wishing my life away and need it to be 5pm. Roll on Friday when I finish for two weeks.
I channelled my inner @bubbs last night and made crustless quiche and some Scotch eggs - didn't coat them so they look a bit odd 🤣 but taste great. Hopefully keep me going when I get the snacking urge!
Today's food:
B - bacon medallions, tomatoes, mushrooms and some l/over baked beans
L - crustless quiche, salad and pickles
D - chicken fajitas, I'll have soft pitta with mine (HEB), cheese (HEA2) - 2 syns for my share of the packet mix
Have a smashing day everyone!0 -
@joedenise , sorry absolutely no offence meant. I just remember how mine was so painful and no one could see how badly I was injured. I remember bursting into tears at the physio saying I just thought everyone thought I was swinging the lead. Not even my husband knew how bad it was until I was actually screaming in pain, tears running down my face pacing the house, because I kept trying to carry on. I guess it just pushed a button. But really no offence was meant xxx
And yes you are probably right with the sausage. Although I find it hard to believe because I cooked four skinny ones in the air fryer and the drawer was dry, not one bit of fat and the only ingredients were pork and flavouring. Seriously this is what fries my head with SW syns - have bacon - thats free, but a near on 100% pork sausages is 4 syns??? Squirt a spud cut into chips with a bit of oil - free if frylite - barely a syn if normal oil. Eat a can of chick peas - free - air fry them dry with a touch of seasoning - a zillion syns lolAnyway my scales are looking good for tonight so Im looking for that to show tonight and hopefully Ill have my stone next weekThis is a question, when I started she said what did I want to lose and I said a stone. So is that target weight ? Do I go free after that? Or is target the weight they say you SHOULD be? So for me it will be another 7lb0 -
@Longwalker - it's entirely up to you the weight you want to choose as your target weight. If you're happy with the stone loss then you can call target and then you won't need to pay again but if you want to lose another 7lb then you can tell the consultant that's where you want to set your target. It's absolutely nothing to do with where you SHOULD be but where you are happy with your weight.
Agree with you to some extent about the syn values of somethings but there's usually a reason! For example if you air fry the chickpeas you could quite easily eat the whole can as a snack whereas it's extremely unlikely you would eat a whole can as part of a meal.

Hi all,
I’m in the office today hence the late post. Spent the first 1.5 hours with IT trying to fix a printing issue on my laptop and boss’s laptop gave up the ghost too. Not a great start as only had a cup of tea before leaving home. Didn’t get to eat my overnight oats until lunchtime and then didn’t fancy them! Feel very FFF today – fat, frumpy and frustrated! I could add another F to that equation!
Food today:
B – tea, a bit of my overnight oats – HEB-ish
L – Aldi roasted veg cous cous, melon – 1.5, S
D – creamy mushroom pappardelle – 0.5
HEA – milk
Syns – hi fi bar 3 plus 2 so 5 total for today
Good idea to have the check up @joedenise x
Is the German sausage a brand @Longwalker? I can check the syns for you. Agree that some parts of the SW plan don’t make sense.

DH is definitely better today but still in lots of pain. He's got some stronger painkillers from the Dr today as the one's he already has aren't working well enough. The new ones definitely seem to be better and he has got a bit more movement in the arm today. He's got physio tomorrow for his knee and the nurse at the minor injury unit suggested he hands over his discharge notice to the physio in the hopes that he'll give him some exercises for the shoulder as well!
Are you off to the company shop tomorrow with your friend @bubbs?
Good luck for WI @Longwalker. Have you decided whether to call target or not?
