Hi all,Thanks for all the hugs earlier in the week, feeling much better now but my food has been awful!! I have some new smart scales which are fascinating with so many stats. We've all been on and spent ages reviewing the data. My 13 year is apparently underweight! But he's healthy enough. Tomorrow am is going to be my weigh day and will start afresh.I am going for tea and cake with my Daughter over the weekend before she jets off to Malaysia for a couple of weeks - I'm currently excited for her but sure I'm going to cry saying good bye.Hubby's blood tests have all come back fine, though the Dr worried us as first question was if we'd heard from the hospital, and we'll have a letter from them soon?? We are awaiting one more test for a CT on his heart, but I think they are going to diagnose long covid, whatever it is its not normal level of health for a 45 year old.Anyway, well done to the losers and good news about your Dad @bubbsMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Wb @ruby_eskimo. I think we all get times like that and its hard to see whats wrong until we get past it. Enjoy the date xxx@maman , lord alone knows. I did pile a bit on after getting married but lost it all again and it stayed of for years so possibly 10 years. Whats more impressive is the last drew I bought for a wedding 5 years ago, I needed shape wear to get into it, now the hips need taking in
@joedenise, I hadn't realised you were a member for so long. We have a lass at our group who's got 12 years and she attends every week. Kudos to you. No wonder you have so much advice for us newbies.Im right royally pee'd off tonight, completely fed upI knew I had my stone, in fact I was hovering between 14 and 16lb off. Ive really been so very very good all week. I knew my weigh in clothes would add the 1/2lb as thats been the difference all weigh ins. So today I didnt put a step wrong, got in 16k steps, ate a tiny bowl of pasta and veg for lunch, went for weigh in - sure I had 2lb off but only 13.5 off total. So I was joking and saying the scales were fixed, stepped off, said go again - must be my glasses, stepped back on and the scales went UP. So the consultant comes over, she wipes them and we go again - Im now 2lb up on my original weigh in - within 2 mins?Ok so we were laughing and joking but happy I am not - Ive still got to get that 1/2lb !!I really had set my heart on that stone marker for today. Its all well and good saying its next week, but in my head I had it this week and I was really really confident I had it. Scales this morning said I had it, and my scales calibrate themselves every weigh and since Ive had them they have been on par with the WI scales - the 1/2 more there cos of clothes ( I weigh in my altogether at home )0 -
Morning all, not as bright this morning but at least it's dry and supposed to be staying that way until early evening. Hope it does as I've got a machine load of washing on which I want to get line dried. Was going to do a load of bedding as well but have decided to go and see DD2 and then go to IKEA which is fairly close to where she lives - will have to take my car as it's in the London LEZ and DH's car would get charged as it's a diesel
I always weigh with my clothes on and after a light breakfast @Longwalker as that's how I'm weighed at group. I'm surprised your clothes only weigh 0.5lb! Mine are about 2.5lb! I'm sure you'll shift that 0.5lb this week and probably more and will get that 7lb sticker and certificate.
Today's plan:
B - breakfast hash - P; S; F
L - not sure but if we're home in time it will be sausage sandwich followed by some fruit - HEB; S; 5.5
D - spag bol if we have the sausages at lunchtime otherwise it will be sausages, mash & veg - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - butter 3.5; sausages 2 (will save 3.5 if we don't have the sandwich at lunchtime! but will probably be more if we have something at DD2s which is quite likely)
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all.
Sorry that the scales were playing up yesterday @Longwalker - I'm sure you'll get that shiny sticker next week.
1lb out of target isn't that bad @joedenise - hope you have a nice day and the crowds aren't too bad at Ikea. I need to brave going there next weekend.
Hope your DH is ok @bubbs and doesn't cause too much disruption to your routine!
Also hope your DH is ok @annabanana82 and the Dr's can give him a proper diagnosis soon.
Thanks for the supportive messages yesterday. We didn't end up going out for date night as DH's other godfather passed away yesterday so he was understandably not feeling up to going out. Chinese on the sofa instead so back on plan today. Haven't been too hungry so far today but might have a clementine or two before my next meeting at 10. Lunch is some vegetable goulash from the freezer and dinner tonight is fishcake and mixed green veg. Will also try to motivate myself to do some exercise after work as well as go for a walk because I always feel better when I get outside.
Hope you all have a good day.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Yes, shame about the erratic scales @Longwalker. 🤞for your stone next week.
I'll be interested to know whether our consultant does those 'long service' awards @joedenise. I'll have been at target for 12 years in August.
Sorry to hear your DH had sad news yesterday @ruby_eskimo but I'm sure you still enjoyed your evening together.
I've been back on plan for almost a week now, last synful eating was on the plane this time last week. I don't feel any thinner though. It's infuriating how excess weight always goes where you don't want it. ☹️
Haven't had a HEB today as have run out of 'my' bread and can manage until I get to Aldi tomorrow.
Today's EE plan -
B- fried egg (P), baked beans, fried potatoes (F), HEA 1 milk for drinks
L- LO chicken casserole (P, F, S), pickled red cabbage (S)
D- spaghetti Bolognese (P, F, S), HEA 2 Parmesan
Syns - 0

@maman - I've not had a certificate before but last year was my first one with this group and I happened to mention that it was 10 years and was presented with the Slim for Life stickers with the numbers hand written on them! Think the printed ones only go up to 6 years. She just told me to remind her when the date came round again this year.
@ruby_eskimo - understandable that your DH didn't feel up to going out last night but lovely to have spent the evening on the sofa with a Chinese instead.
IKEA wasn't too bad but certainly wouldn't want to go at the weekend! Done that occasionally when I was working but definitely a no no now! Of course we were very late home so I ended up just having a cheese salad sandwich instead as it was quicker than cooking sausages. We're going to have a sausage sandwich for breakfast now. The pasta bolognaise was lovely tonight and there's a couple of portions of the bolognaise sauce left to go in the freezer. Think it's probably the best one I've made in years. No idea how it was so different as did the same as usual.

Hi folks, not a great week for me. Dad had a stroke on Sunday so you can imagine the stress since then. Thankfully he’s fine physically and his memory and speech which he lost completely is almost back to normal. Think he’s getting home tomorrow and both parents are now agreeable to getting some help so have that to sort.Food has been all over the place and after last week’s great loss really don’t want to roll up with a gain (I don’t want to explain why either) so may give WI a miss this week.
Not had a chance to read back yet but hope you are all well and dodging the showers (well here in Scotland anyway).0
