    Evening all,

We had a good day in London. Very wet weather meant we couldn’t go around the gardens but KP and the couture exhibition was excellent. We had cake and tea on arrival and then went to Wagamamas. I’m not stressing about food - DSis and I are just thankful to still have DDad with us after his years of poor health.

DMum lost half a tooth (and ate it!) at Wagamamas and also lost her train ticket!!

Thats really scary about your DDad @bubbs but well done him for having some fluids. Let’s hope he’s turned.a corner x

Morning all, the weather forecast has changed!  Originally it was for wet and windy and now just windy so going to do some washing and get it on the line.  Gusts of up to 50mph are forecast but at the moment it's less windy than it was yesterday so going to take a chance!

Hope your dad is still doing OK @bubbs and hasn't started refusing to drink again.  It must be so hard for you and your family.

Hope your new temporary consultant is nice.  Is she likely to become permanent do you think or are they looking for someone new?  Even now my old group still hasn't reopened so not looking likely that it will which is a shame as there used to be 5 groups there and the one I went to on a Thursday morning often had 80 + people through the till.  A lot of members just stopped going as the other groups on the island are difficult to get to by public transport as the vast majority of people lived in the area and walked, a lot because they didn't drive at all.

Glad you had a good, if wet day out yesterday @Coxy11.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - sausages, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F; 2
    L - chicken tagine from freezer in a wrap - P; S; 9!
    D - carbonara - P; S; F; HEA2 (part)

    HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - bit of parmesan so won't be a full HEA
    Syns - sausages 2; wrap 9; may have a couple of 0% G&Ts 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Big HUGS to @bubbs and @Jellybaby. Its not easy and I do feel for you. Ive been through it with Mr L's mum, my step dad, and now mum is becoming increasingly frail

@jedenise - I weigh in a vest and running trousers in group, sod all at home and its always 1/2lb more in group

@annabana82, I have those scales, absolutely fascinating arent they? However they arent really very accurate with the fat and bone density. However they are great as a guideline

@coxy11 glad you still had an enjoyable visit , even with mum swallowing her tooth

I have to admit I spent Wednesday night and most of Thursday in a sulk, but finally pulled myself together and as you say - next week

Been dreadful with food, nowt to eat till 8pm ish Wednesday, Thursday and Friday which I do know is so very bad for me but I never feel hungry until later in the day then before I know it Im getting the dinner prepped so I hold on

Have stayed on plan, never even got my usual big bag of crisps for weigh in day ( I was sulking lol )

Weather has been awful, didnt go to park run this morning as too wet but Ive still been getting an average 8 miles a day in. Poor Buddy legs are getting shorter :) I do a mile and half with him twice a day at a normal pace , well quite slow cos hes a pug, then I do up to five miles at pace with my walking buddy.

Turn up for the books, last night I made a Chinese using pork belly so I opted out and I had a roasted aubergine mashed with some tomato and garlic sauce and topped with a bit of feta (HEAx2) with the rice, and Mr L tried it and liked it, so thats for tea tonight with pasta

Anyone do courgetti? Will it cook enough just stirring it through a Bolognese sauce or do I need to cook it first?

Not used courgetti but I would have thought it would cook very quickly so I'd stir it through the bolognaise sauce and leave it a minute or so.  Think it would be overcooked if you cook it first.

    Hi all,

1lb on for me today which means I'm now 6lb over target weight and 3lb outside of top end of target. Have had a week without much planning and too much naughty stuff including chocolate last night. I'm okay with it - DDad only with us for another few weeks then back to Cyprus, so making the most of taking him places and cooking things he will eat!

We are off to a garden party later - a friends' 25th wedding anniversary - for which they are catering a hog roast. I'm going to drive as need to get back for DDad who is going to see Mission Impossible with DS2 - boys night out.

Food today was grapes and hi fi at group, toast when I got back. Going to cook a SW easy curry for DDad and DS2 and freeze the rest - this was last nights' dinner but we didn't fancy anything after Wagamama and DH had a LO portion of curry from the freezer.

I've not used courgetti @Longwalker so can't advise sorry.

Managed to save a few syns - I only ate 1/2 the wrap so 4.5 syns rather than 9!  That's a bit better.  Couldn't eat all the tagine either as it was far too hot, don't think it was that hot when I put it in the freezer!

Glad to hear your sulking didn't get you comfort eating @Longwalker, but what you have eaten sound really delicious. I just love aubergines but I think the emoji has an alternative meaning so I won't put that up! 🤣

Same here @joedenise. Forecast rain didn't materialise but it's very blowy. I think meals somehow continue to marinate in the freezer. I know it sounds daft but my chillis and Bolognese sauce definitely taste better from the freezer than on the day they're cooked.

I suspect that I'm about 3 lbs out of range too @Coxy11. I'm going to WI on Thursday and I'll just have to plod on until I get back into range. I'm catching up with friends this week so eating out won't help but that's life. 🤔

At least today will be less synful than the average Saturday. I'm out dancing tonight and driving myself so alcohol free. I'm taking a small salad as a snack for dinner. I don't think I've got any LTL mayo so will need to check syns.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
    L- Spanish omelette ( F, S), beetroot (S)
    D- ham salad with new potatoes (P, S, F)
    Syns - mayo?
