Hi all, thanks for the good wishes for dad. He continues to do well, so much so he insisted on going the usual food shop this morning! And already, both parents are back to saying they don’t need help 🙈 On one hand their independence and determination is fantastic but so frustrating for us as we just want them to be safe and live at home as long as possible.@bubbs I hope your dad is continuing to drink and feeling better today. They’re such a worry!@Longwalker keep plodding as our Beanie says 😀
Went to WI this morning and STS which I’m happy with. A week of hospital baked potatoes, M&S sandwiches and Starbucks coffees it could have been a lot worse! Back on it and doing a food diary too.
Was going to have an easy afternoon but there’s so much housework to catch up with, and it’s not my favourite pastime, but music is on (and I’ll sit with my feet up tomorrow 😉).0 -
Evening all
I STS the same today, i can see an influx of pork pie being made 😂, everyone liked it.
Jelly glad your Dad is doing well.
My Dad is not good again today 😥😥 No drinks, while we was there only the one he wore when Mum tried to get him to drink and promptly spilt it everywhere!
My niece went with the baby as she wanted a picture of them together and he kept saying to my other sister he had still not seen him

Morning all, lovely photo of the baby @bubbs. Sorry to hear your dad isn't so good again; do hope your and your mum can persuade him to drink more. Dehydration isn't good.
Finally got the bedding washed and out on the line this morning. It's still blowy but not as bad as yesterday - think it would have blown away yesterday! Don't think it will take long to dry!
DH ordered a TGTG bag yesterday and it was a pretty good one including cherries, grapes, potatoes, onions. There was also some scones and cupcakes which DH will eat (think the cakes have gone already!).
Today's plan:
B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
L - burger, onions, gherkins in WM roll - HEB; S; 0.5
D - SC beef stew with pearl barley and soup mix, mash - P; S; F; rice pudding HEA2; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - unsweetened coconut drink
HEB - WM roll
Syns - LF sausages 2; LF burger 0.5
Have a good day everyone!

Morning, I’m taking mum out for coffee and a wander round her beloved M&S to give dad a bit of peace 🤣 and my brother is travelling home and will collect him later at the airport. So much for a quieter day!
Hope your dad is better today @bubbs xx. Your great nephew? is gorgeous!
Ive already had huge bowl of fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, will have Americano out and will probably have an early dinner - fish, chips, peas, sweetcorn and carrots. Think 4 syns for breadcrumbs and 3 for tartare sauce. Will need to check.0 -
Super photo of the great nephew @bubbs. He's growing so quickly. Sorry to hear there's not better news about your dad. 🤗
You're a hero taking your mum to wander around M&S @Jellybaby. If I need anything in there, it's a quick in and out. I sometimes feel I'm in Stepford Wives as the people who buy all their clothes there look like clones. Hope the rest of your day goes as planned, well done for planning your dinner so you're in control of that.
Same weather here @joedenise, windy but not as wild as yesterday.
As I suspected , I only had light mayo instead of LTL. I think I must have picked it up by mistake. It seems ridiculous that it's 2 syns per tbsp compared with just a half. I mixed it with yogurt yesterday so just 2 syns for the day but still cross with myself.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F)
L- tuna salad (P,S,F)
D- HB steaks (P,S), SW roast potatoes (F), many Speed veg (S)
Syns- horseradish 1.5, mayo 2☹, Weekend Wine😁0 -
Slight change for dinner. I picked up a packet of hot smoked flaked salmon for 99p in M&S! Having that with chips and salad and saving 6.5 syns into the bargain lol

Worth going to M & S after all @Jellybaby! 👍 I'll have to go there more often. 🤣0
