:undecided
Just 5 days into the challenge and I fell off the wagonI feel I have a total lack of control and am very angry with myself, I was really excited about doing the whole of January and now I've blown it
Although it's funny as I felt soooo guilty opening the 1st can last night, with each subsequent can the guilt got less :rotfl: this morning I feel terrible - not hangover terrible (think I must be a hardened drinker ), but like I've let myself down
Sorry for the miserable post, I'm off for my 4th cup of coffee now......GC 9/4-6/5

Managed Saturday night OK ...Having a hangover really helps me determination ...Sunday so should be a bit easier....I hope ..
I bought some sleep inducing tea .This should help me to settle ...Instead of mu usuall.
We should all meet up at the end of the month for a pub crawl to celebrate if we make it
If my month keeps starting again every time I fall off the wagon ....I'll be using a zimmer frame on the pub crawl..0 -
Welcome back aboard Globalds..
Tonight will be my 6th night... and its been years since that happened..(hope I dont turn into a pumkin or something... I do have the figure for it.)
I Have drunk SO much pop over this weekend though..I find it helps to have a pint glass full of something to reach for while I watch TV.
Hopefully this will get easier as we go along.
Am not sure the pub crawl is a good idea...we will all be p***ed on 2 pints..lol“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
Evening all! Well I am currently drinking my last red wine & smoking my last fags! Then that really is it! Confirmed this am by joining rosemary conely online & having to weight myself - put on 9ibs over Christmas which I knew as my clothes are tight & a@@ spreading by the day!! I felt SO much better physically when I wasnt drinking, smoking & eating healthily so back I go! Going to be hard but I know I can do it! Hope you're all ok! Think of me at 9.00 - supping the last & enjoying sece & sensibility! Sad bunny I am but been looking forward to it all week!! Next week will replace with skimmed milk & ovaltine - no matter what rosemary says!! see broken the diet already & not even started it yet!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! good evening everyone,
I'm just back from holiday so this wil be the last lushy night for a while (and there's been a fair few of them over the holidays I can tell you!) I have put on weight and spent a fortune so it'll be a lean month in many ways I think.
I think that my secret will be not to open a new bottle once this one's dead (we drink a LOT of wine usually).
I need to keep on the wagon for my own good health really so here goes...

Good luck In Search Of Me, I'm trying the same (no wine, no fags & dieting) and, sorry folks, was soooo jealous reading of you enjoying your red wine...it's been 6 nights off for me already!
As I've already posted dropping the cigs hasn't been successful though so hopefully you'll inspire me to do it for good this time!
I was on Weightwatchers before Christmas and plan to return as soon as I get off the damn cigs, just hoping the lack of alcohol is making up for the boredom evening snacking.
Hope you enjoy your Ovaltine; it's tomato juice for me!0 -
Still doing ok here! Really enjoyed my first alcohol free weekend. Played lots of board games and feel so relaxed for a Monday morning it's amazing!Lightbulb moment Oct 2007

Feeling awfull at the moment as I have the dreaded man Flu. Although I have not had a drink since new years eve today is my first test. 1st day off and I normally start with the lager so will let you know how it goes.

Failed miserably ...No excuses really ..
Sat talking with a mate who is thinking a divorce is on the horizon ...He needed a drink ...and it seems I let that sell me on the idea ..
I have a bad head and am behind on my scheduled fitting of new bath ...
Well done all those who held out ...
If this was a game of snakes and ladders I would have just landed on a snake ...
I, too, landed on a snake on Saturday...not all bad news though as although it was a big bender for a friend's 30th, I'd 'recycled' a bottle of tequilla we'd had in our cupboard for over a year (so no spend), bought a 24-box of Grolsch with an old Tesco gift-card (again, no spend) and husband paid for essential curry needed to reduce effects of Grolsch and tequilla (so no spends). In total, I spent £11.40 on a day/night where I'd have easily blown £70+ before.
Back on wagon today though people...I just really struggle in social situations not to have a drink...that sounds so bad but it's true. Will try harder this weekend...************************************************************
