Is that what happens when you stop taking toxins?? they all come out?? My skin isn't too bad but it isn't as glowing as I'd like.

how long does that take to sort out? have trid to cut back on caffeine too (God I'm fun arn't I) and have been having fruit teas. Prefer those to just plain water.

  • Hopefully it will sort itself out soon! I've been trying to cut down on cigs and caffiene as well and drink lots more water so it probably is some sort of mini detox!

The sleeping thing ,which has been an issue with me before ,even with drink sometimes .I have tackled head on.Bought some Camomile tea ..a really mellow taste .I drink that after about nine at night ..I also bought some tea speciallly designed to help promote sleep ..It is in tesco's by a company called Clipper..Picture of a moon on the box ...It tastes of cinamon , but within about half an hour of drinking I'm feeling like making zee'z Big style
.I am still waking a bit tired ...But I have overdone it for a long time ..I've been using the drink at the end of the day as a bit of a carrot and urging myself on a bit further than I should each day ...So I have noticed a feeling of catching up on something ...I'm hoping the refreshed will come in the end .
I am having to sit a heap of tests at work so the clear head has been usefull to have instead of the usual fuzzy edges ...
..The more I describe my drinking state the more I worry I really was hitting the sauce a bit too much and a bit too often .
Good luck all ...We are really doing well ..Pour yourself a camomile tea from Globalds. :)

Thanks for your words guys, it's good to know that I'm not abnormal :D

And thanks Globalds, you're right about the carrot thingy but DD has many such teas, I might just try one tonight.....
  • Hello,

Day 10 - doing ok but irritable today and last night. Regarding sleeping, I keep waking in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep ! Mind you thats the cats waking me up- should shut the door to keep them out.

    have a good day all

But don't you find that if there's a closed door the cat makes it his sole purpose to get it opened? Scratching and mewing?

Slept better last night, but woke early from a horrible nightmare!
Day 3 for me :o and my skin has improved!!!!

Yes on first count- very annoying- and very happy to report that (apart from looking a bit tired) skin is loads better.... glowing almost !! Mind you stopped smoking too so all helps.

Hi everyone, just heard this thread mentioned on another one and (with a little help) I've found you! I'm having an alcohol-free 6 months, then I'll reassess after that so can I join in please? It's mostly for health reasons but the money saved will really help too. I gave up on 30th December.
