  • Afternoon all! Day 7 for me and feel ok. I did find last time i gave up that I had awfu nightmares & trouble sleeping but this time didnt drink for that long so possibly not so much of a build up! Still not managed the smoking but going to cut down on this over the next couple of weeks. I am making wine for when I can drink again! Partly because I want to experement before making it with gluts from the allotment next summer!! Problem is I have no wine bottles but will ask friends who are drinking if they can keep me theirs and can buy them if I REALLY have to! Hope all doing ok! kizzykissywizzy - its not too late to join - better to have half a month alch free than none at all!

Succumbed to one glass of wine last night. I'm not too bothered though as I've not had any alcohol for 2 weeks. Back on track tonight though.

  • 4 days!!!
I'm still thinking about it though............. I just get bored in the evenings. Can't say I feel any different yet. I just really enjoy a nice glass of red wine, have drunk all the apple & blackberry squash ( which I pretended was wine )I & am now on to the orange, I shall visualise this as Cider, bit too orangey coloured for beer:D Actually, what the hell, Champagne!, if you're pretending you can afford anything:T
Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

Married my best friend 15/4/16 :)

Here's a tip, drink so much you make yourself violently sick and make a complete and utter fool of yourself in front of your nearest and dearest, maybe even start a fight, I done that it December 06, I was so ashamed of myself I've not drank since:beer:

I can manage to do most of that Without a Drink..:D
I'm happy with the result so far ..this is my third week only 2 drinking nights since new year ...I can't really believe i've managed this so well ...Thanks to the OP and the rest of the JAFA's ....
If anyone has noticed my other thread with the water softener to fit ..Plus a bathroom that won't go together like the picture on the box ..means I have plenty to be getting on with ...I've got to try and get into the habbit of not drinking every night .
I can't say I feel any richer ...This may have something to do with the bathroom, and it's not fittting together...

    EDIT.
Surely this smiley  must be on the Alcohol Free thread ,Banned List.
From now on this:coffee: is all I can offer you back as a toast ...
  • doing ok but could have killed for a glass of red! Resisted but laughed last night...thought my radiators packed in as I could hear bubbing/gurglig & then realised it was the wine making!! LOL!!
