I think I will add my house pot the my signature as while the debt is decreasing much slower this will be building quickly and it will be nice to be able to update that regularly I think to xxPay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest

Evening hope everyone is having a nice weekend, we have my sons dog, my brother and his 2 kids here, my middle daughter and her hamster also to say it’s a squeeze is putting it lightly 😂
pay day yesterday unexpectedly as I’m meant to be paid last day of the month which would be Monday, paid £50 to Xmas £100 to birthdays/miscellaneous and £100 to car account along with £800 to the house savings account so that is £1050 total saved this month, I’m happy with that, holiday in 2 weeks and can then get back to debt payments to !Pay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest

morning all, up and getting ready for work, 9 days to go until I am off for my holidays! Can’t wait! Have paid £159.68 today but that’s to purchases for middle daughter clothes for holidays, she’s gained a lot of weight over the last 8 months and nothing she had fit her, I will be having an expensive 2 weeks now in the lead up to the holiday as we have kids hair, kids nails, middle daughter eye test and she needs new glasses, we also have a local festival I have already got the tickets but will need drinks and food there on the day, DH has overtime coming for the next 3 pays so will use that to pay for it but likely won’t be able to save much until we are back from the holiday now xxPay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest

So today we moved our savings to the chase account as it’s a higher rate not the best rate there is out there but still better than we had with Halifax!DH has back pay coming on Thursday and this will go to the house savings target £15000 by December when we hope to have the keys!Monthly review tomorrow at work not looking forward to that!
14 days till holiday and the count down begins!!Pay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest

Wow look at those savings, a £10,000 emergency fund is amazing, you should never need to get into debt again.Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

I have now become obsessed with keeping that at £10,000 for exactly that reason I do not ever want debt again! Todays DH back pay has been paid £768 extra wages, I’m leaving it where it is for now as we have a few expenses this week which we don’t usually have, both girls are having their hair done for holidays and that will be approx £130 and both girls are having their nails done and I expect this to be £70 so £200 total, also my middle DD has an eye test on Thursday and will need new glasses so that will be costly I’m budgeting £200 for those, we also have a local festival to go to and I expect £100 to be needed for drinks and food at that also, so what I plan to do is see what is left after all those things are paid and then transfer that to the house account. Saves me stressing as my other pots are very empty and will need to be building these after holidays moving forward.
£19.67 to CC today normal DD payment
off food shopping and then will be sorting a bit for holidays this afternoon.
I have an up happy client coming into branch Monday and that’s going to ruin my weekend worrying about it!Pay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest

Morning happy Sunday everyone, it’s pouring down again here!! Hopefully not all day as yesterday we had a lot of roads closed due to flooding, I have transferred £900 to the house renovation pot today just have the girls expenses this week and then hoping to pay some more over the more we have the more we can do, still have to save up for the big things like kitchen and bathroom but they are ok as they are,
beds to change today and my sons popping in for a haircut 💇♂️ so will be nice to see him as he’s in the army and posted 7 hours drive away so don’t see him as often as we would like
have a good day xxPay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest

Well today has been utterly awful and I am glad to see it end! My lovely customer came in to complain basically became irate and told me I am useless, incompetent and have no idea what I am doing, all the things I already worry over enough! I wonder why people feel the need to be personally so nasty complaining about the business is one thing but that’s just mean!I spend the evening mostly crying and feeling sorry for myself thinking what a massive mistake I’ve made in taking a job im not good at and buying a house I can barely afford…for goodness sake I sound pathetic!Tomorrow I have decided will be a better day, although of course the complaint in writing will no doubt have landed in my emails by now…a lovely gift before my holidays 😭
I really hope everyone else’s day has been better than mine and apologise for my moaning rants!
on a more positive note, my PAD today was £3.08 😂Pay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest
