Congratulations to your daughter on her fantastic GCSE results!
Yes, as others have said, your vet should sort your insurance for you and will take the excess from what you have already paid. Hope your dog recovers quickly.

thank you @Spinayarn she is still on cloud 9 about her results, little dog is so much better so the antibiotics have done the trick hopefully they can remove the tooth Thursday and that will sort it totally, I’m glad that the insurance seems straight forward
off to work today to see what’s been happening while I’ve been off, and it’s DH birthday but he has a 12 hour shift so nothing happening for him today.
money wise it’s quiet 🤫 I need to build my pots as they are all sitting very low misc spends is £1 as I used this for vets, car I have £135 but need 2 tyres, so this needs to be priority over the house for a few weeks nowPay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest

Update on little dog, she had a fractured tooth and had completely sheared off one side leaving a hole for the infection to get in, tooth removed and she’s home with us, she’s very quiet crying a bit and sleepy so I hope she will be a bit better tomorrow I feel sad for her as she doesn’t even know why she’s had to have this done, total bill today was £765 so pretty much £1000 spent on vet bills for this, hopefully the insurance will come through good and I will get some of that back.
nothing else to report today, we have bought a few house things over the last few days so DH overtime will need to pay for those, then back to house saving again.Pay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest

Just need to unload my head! Middle child just got her uni timetable and she’s got lessons every day, I’m sure some of those will be online/catch up later type lessons but it doesn’t seem to say, the school where she works as a TA where hoping she can do 2 set days but looking at her timetable she can really only commit to a Friday each week, maybe more once she gets settled in and sees what happens when, not sure that the school will allow her only 1 day a week so she will have to go back on agency for work, I’m so worried because without work after rent she has £36 to live on and she’s been used to a lot more, I don’t think she could even food shop for that, I’ll have to give her more each week but we will definitely struggle again, this is what I was worried over before we decided to buy this house this exact thing that they need money and we will struggle to be able to give it 😞 sorry I’m probably just over thinking I’m not a worrier until it comes to money and then I start to really panic very quickly, I’m going to need to try and look at what is actually necessary at the new house eg can we manage with one socket in each room and skip having more put in, maybe have less plastering etc, I just want to sit and cry 😢 I’ll be forever skint and it just never gets any better 😟Pay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest

Panic over the school have taken her on for one day a week so she will get paid £60 and that will give her £96 a week so we should only need to help with holidays when she won’t get paid as school is closed, so big sigh of relief!Moving to the next issue! Pet insurance have said we are not covered and turned down the claim, I rang and they said the vets not said she fractured a tooth so decay etc not covered, spoke to vets and have asked them to send over the report again which states tooth fractured, they have assured me they will send this via email so we will see if they will re consider 😞Pay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest
