I'd mistake these for my Revolut card!ForumUser7 said:
TSB. I’ll update with photos shortly[Deleted User] said:Has anyone actually produced a themed card other than the standard current account card new design wise? So far it seems for the standard current account range there may only be one card design.
I have seen the credit card, spending account and private banking in this thread. But no themed cards for a standard account range.
Student Debit Card Left. Under 19s Debit Card Right.
Still no sign of club Lloyds, I think it might be history, but early days to be sure.0 -
Club Lloyds will get new design soon, dunno when tho,0

Halifax and Lloyds sent me new cards after I upgraded without me requesting/ordering them - it appears to be automated[Deleted User] said:
Sorry but to confirm, did you yourself order a new card or they just sent it to you after upgrade without you doing anything?ForumUser7 said:
I'm a little confused.GTR_King said:Thanks! Most likely old club Lloyds design be lucky if you get new design debit card
To confirm, I got the old Club Lloyds card design (posted 17th April).

Does anyone know also are these flat new Lloyds cards offline or online cards? When you upgraded from youth accounts, right? That's an important detail.Like I said in all the times I've changed between Halifax Student/Standard CA/Reward/Ultimate Reward and Lloyds/Club Lloyds/Silver I have never been automatically sent a new card until either I requested one (after loss/stolen/defective report before anyone starts) or it expired. In fact one of my Halifax Reward account debit cards is currently an (old) Ultimate Reward design - I opened the account as an Ultimate Reward and then downgraded less than one month later back in August 2020 (I know this as no fee was paid). Still valid and unreplaced now.The app shows the graphic for a Reward card, and I imagine when it's replaced it will be one, but for now the card with the 'Ultimate Reward' legend is still the active one 3 yrs on.2 -
I think with new debit cards many banks go by the logic of if the card has only just been issued, there's not much point printing a new one. If the card's only got a few months left on it they may as well reissue it. When I upgraded a Lloyds classic to Club Lloyds they never re-issued as it was only a few months after I'd opened the account.
When I upgraded my original Halifax account from expresscash to a standard current account they sent no new debit card. Around 9 months later I upgraded it to a reward account and they sent a new one. I had around 14 months left on the card at the time of upgrading to a current account and 5 months when I upgraded to reward.

I’d only had my cards for ~ 6 months and they decided to re-issue both (when I upgraded from express cash to reward and from under 19s to club)

That's odd then. I have a exam on 11/5, so from then I'll have no studying to be doing until late September. As LBG won't close my accounts till 18th May and don't do hard searches or anything for converting your account type I may do a few experimental upgrades/downgrades of my accounts from 12th and see if I get any debit cards arriving and post results in this thread (no pun intended).ForumUser7 said:I’d only had my cards for ~ 6 months and they decided to re-issue both (when I upgraded from express cash to reward and from under 19s to club)

In 2016 it was, Lloyds has sent me nothing after upgrade on this occasion. Although it was already a brand new card. Perhaps as suggested the card has to be a certain age before it is replaced. Even as low as 28 days.ForumUser7 said:

I have received the new RBS card - NatWest didn't end up sending a new one out.WillPS said:
Natwest Group have different card designs for Premier accounts, but I think that's it nowadays; even the youth and foundation/basic account debit cards I think use the same design?[Deleted User] said:Especially when upgrading from a kids' account to a full fat account, they'll reissue a card because more often than not, the adult account card is offline-enabled while the kids' will be online-only.
When upgrading between different product types, it'll depend on whether the bank has a different card design / features to distinguish between the fancier and less fancy accounts. NWG don't, LBG do.
If it was being changed from online-only to offline-enabled the card number would change, as there is a difference in BIN (I think?).
If the BIN is the first 6 digits of the card, that's still the same - both the old (revolve) and new (reward) have the same first 7 digits, and the same design.
Given the old card still had ~3 years left on it, I cannot figure out why they replaced it, and also why they didn't auto-replace NatWest - the NatWest card only has an additional month on itIf you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

What do you mean by ''SKUs''? A Google search comes up with SKU Bank.username said:It seems very wasteful that they need to have all these several SKUs of cards with the account names on, which they wouldn't have needed in the past.0
