The new card just means a new card number IMO, not necessarily design.
That said, I have also had problems with the LBG card management app section.
I contacted Lloyds in chat, and they cancelled my old card for me once my new one arrived - this fixed their app for me.
I contact Halifax in chat once my new card had arrived, but they tried to cancel the old one and were unsuccessful and said either ring lost and stolen (even though it isn't), or visit a branch. Their app brings up error codes in lost and stolen, shows the card in the PIN section, doesn't show it in the details section, and shows both in the freeze sectionIf you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

Might just poke my nose in here to say that unneccessarily reordering cards (which are, appearance aside, identical in terms of functionality in all instances) is disrespectful both to the bank and the environment.

Let's apply the logic in your post for the sake of argument, you are telling customers not to request cards they are entitled to under the policy of the bank. ie if customer upgrades from a classic Lloyds account to a club Lloyds account, the bank sends them a new card.
So I am afraid you need to direct your comment to Lloyds banking group and not roam the forums trying to get likes. One thing I like about MSE is that nobody hardly every talks politics or brings in stuff like this, I hope it stays that way.
Not to add to say ordering a plastic card is "disrespectful" to a banking group which funds god knows what i'd say is missing the big picture.0 -

I said @strictgold5208 may wish to contact Lloyds to check if they sent a new one out, as if they did, with a new card number, the existing card will likely expire before the original expiry date (in my experience with other banks one month after the new card was issued).

Not to add to say ordering a plastic card is "disrespectful" to a banking group which funds god knows what i'd say is missing the big picture. The bank provides the opportunity to request a new card in the event their current one in lost, stolen or defective. There is no option to request one because you fancy a new design (leave alone one which you don't even know exists). Edit - turns out you can just request one. Doesn't mean you should tho.Similarly you can open a dozen accounts at once - again you shouldn't do this.ForumUser7 said:WillPS said:Might just poke my nose in here to say that unneccessarily reordering cards (which are, appearance aside, identical in terms of functionality in all instances) is disrespectful both to the bank and the environment.
