We have broken their billing system it has stated we are on a payment holiday for the last year. It broke when we moved to variable whole monthly bill direct debit and had credit. When the credit was used up no money was taken by the direct debit set up. It doesn't bother us as we regularly check usage and our cost and just clear the monthly balance manually each month.Netexporter said:Well done to you.
Out of interest, what did they predict your projected annual cost to be? They made mine £190, which suggests their algorithm is broken.
When we joined with our circa 7000kwh electricity usage they wanted £170 a month for reference.
The actually cost for the year is £1150 so less than £100 a month if we were to go on fixed DD based on the last year's Agile rates.0

I've just looked back at previous bills. They used to only show estimated annual consumption in kWh. This cost estimate is new and clearly needs either another coat of looking at, or scrapping.0

I've seen people talking about moving to Tracker for winter period, but is here anyone that moves to Tracker for summer time?
I'm in such situation that during winter I use 40-50 kWh mainly for heating, and happy to schedule it around the day to get the best prices - but when summer approaches I go down to under 5kWh per day and majority of it is cooking which sometimes lands during 16-19 peak hours.
Possibly the last night/day of cheap prices this month starting tonight..0

You can't go back to tracker within 9 months, so you could only have three months on tracker in a single block. In the middle of summer you may lose the benefit by doing less cooking, which would make the three months awkward to schedule.Newbie_John said:I've seen people talking about moving to Tracker for winter period, but is here anyone that moves to Tracker for summer time?

It might work better if you did it every other year.0

I just got my first bill today, transferred to Octopus on the 4th April. It says that my projected annual cost is £174.64 which is confusing to say the least. Do they not include the SC in the figure?Netexporter said:Well done to you.

The very cheap rates have screwed their algorithms.

I get that, I'm super glad that I managed to take full advantage of the plunge prices over the last couple of weeks. But the figure they have quoted is about £100 shy of what my SC alone is for the year, whereas I am used to seeing that included in the figure from my old supplier. As this is my first bill from them I was just wondering if they did it differently at all.PennineAcute said:Jyana said:

There are too many unknowns on Agile to bother with working out usage in the distant future, just enjoy the moment...1

I know it's been an unusual few weeks, but I just got my bill for the last month and my average electricity unit price was 5.95p. I'm also pretty happy with my gas price (3.81p) following my switch to Tracker.
I know these bargain prices won't last, but for me this is a great tariff - saving £100s per year compared to the OFGEM price cap.4
