Not that I fancied driving many miles, in the dead of night, to top up at still probably more than the SVT rate, for the first session.

Charged at the Gridserve chargers at Exeter services recently.  79p/kWh, believe it or not!  Most I pay at home is 12.422p/kWh at the moment, often it's less than that if the sun's shining.  Public charging is ludicrously expensive, so any discount would need to be very large to be attractive enough for someone to go out of their way to get it.

It was 30p off, so almost certainly more than the SVT.

I shall get paid to top mine up tonight.

    Yeah sorry, I've changed that.

-3.57p the lowest at night 2:30am, and -0.44p tomorrow (of what we know so far) 22:30 in my area.

I’m really finding it hard to not switch to agile.
the numbers have been really good for December so far, and I expect rates to be favourable in January with all the wind production expected…
if I call tomorrow I wonder how quick they will put me onto it…

    decisions decisions…

I went on pretty instantaneously when I switched.

Yes, it is nice to be reaping the rewards, again, after the past month's doldrums.

It was always my plan to take agile from January before moving (hopefully) back to Agile in March or April to take advantage of better export rates. Nobody has a crystal ball, but I hope to top up the battery in the cheaper rates on Agile.
I am going to phone them tomorrow to make the switch. I’m mentally prepared now to monitor the prices like a hawk and tweak battery settings multiple times per day if necessary.

The interesting thing about Agile is that you can switch on the same day, and the rates will apply on the same day. Then switch back whenever good rates end.. 30 days later similar thing 😅

No need to call, few clicks and all done.

Tomorrow will be a third day in a row* with negative prices, sadly I've washed everything I had - but will continue waking up to 24°C (no need to use heating during the day).

    *And the day after.. 😅
