I just looked at the compare app and when we get moved to the newer tracker tariff it looks like agile is going to be cheaper for me and that is without any changing times of use. At the moment on the november tracker tariff agile is more expensive but that's crazy, as everyone will move off tracker.

December was a really cheap month on Agile because of all the high winds. January will be much more expensive. Try comparing again at the end of this month and results might not seem so good.

I have been saying this for some time across a few threads but will reserve judgement until we have some of this cold Jan and Feb data as well.

Like you it's cheaper without any load shifting on Agile (as that formula has not changed)

Probably best we keep it a forum secret lol

I do suspect it's region dependent as some will go up massively and some by a little with the new tracker formula.

Hi, I don't have the Compare app as I believe it needs an iPhone? How do the last 7 days compare between Tracker and Agile? Prices are still fairly low and likely to favour Agile, but more representative of the levels we saw most of last year. Unlike December which was a dirt cheap month and not very representative of the year as a whole.

The last two weeks have been extremely boring.. luckily some interesting 5 days a head of us!

@pritchah, I had similar problem and finally got my bill after email communication some time in early Jan.
It really is what you see on OctopusCompare - so I will continue doing that - top up the account with what I end the month to avoid any financial shocks if the bills remain rare.

I got my latest bill. yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised to find my average was 12.44p/kWh in what seemed like a 20p+ month. I did get in one paid car charging session but I didn't think it would make all that much difference.

I'm glad I didn't take fright when the darker months came.

When you say top up the account - do you mean you're not on dd and manually pay at the end of each month, depending on what Compare says you've spent? I could save about £10 per month if I do that

Yes, my direct debit is set to £1.
Then as soon as I got billed I paid that in full (+cashback from Chase), now I "bill myself" at the end of each month according to Octopus Compare app estimate.
