I realised in fact it’s a quick and simple switch online. Took around 2 mins and maybe 5 clicks of the mouse. My app changed tariff within a nanosecond.

It's interesting (or, I think it's interesting) that the Agile evening peak today is roughly equl to the SVT. And tomorrow's is lower.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of December shapes up.

It was always my plan to take agile from January before moving (hopefully) back to Agile in March or April to take advantage of better export rates. Nobody has a crystal ball, but I hope to top up the battery in the cheaper rates on Agile.
I am going to phone them tomorrow to make the switch. I’m mentally prepared now to monitor the prices like a hawk and tweak battery settings multiple times per day if necessary.
The interesting thing about Agile is that you can switch on the same day, and the rates will apply on the same day. Then switch back whenever good rates end.. 30 days later similar thing 😅

No need to call, few clicks and all done.

Tomorrow will be a third day in a row* with negative prices, sadly I've washed everything I had - but will continue waking up to 24°C (no need to use heating during the day).

    *And the day after.. 😅
I was originally on Octopus Flux in October we switched to Agile on the 3rd December, we switched back to Flux on the 9th December I received my bill I was much better off on Agile despite November being a poor month, I thought i could not change back for 30 days so waited a while, on the 19th December I thought I would try to apply they accepted straight away i am back on Agile

Yep. Despite the terms saying 30 days, in practice it's not enforced it seems. Wish I'd realised that a couple of weeks back....

I'd expect a really low numbers on Sunday.
My local weather appears 14°C day and 12°C at night, with strong winds.
Saturday evening is already -2.1p at 22:30 - I wonder if they will enable Octoplus members to get free electricity too? Really curious what it would look like for Agile - if let's say the price is -4p then will I get standard rate in Octoplus points or will I get minus points :D

We are away today so yesterday was Christmas dinner day.  13.2 kWh used at a cost of 4.44 p/kWh. Can't argue with that.

I got paid to roast my chicken, last night. I'll do the rest of the dinner after 19:00 when it is only a couple of pence a kWh. So, pretty much business as usual.

Another 2 days of negative prices  :D

December already has had the most negative prices in the entire 2023.
