I think it would have to be the tracker for me then as I have solar and only take 1000 kwh from the grid each year.

You can have two different tariffs.  For example, Gas Tracker and Agile Electricity,
  • While Octopus' billing issues continue, the Octopus Compare app is great for getting an indication of the cost of the electricity we're actually using

I'm currently comparing against Loyal 12M Fixed November 2023. Is this a popular tariff against which to compare my Agile? Agile gives a 15% saving over the last month

Confusing hours, cheap at 3:30, 8:00, 12:00.. not sure when to do washing

But cheapest day hours in a long while - 23°C tomorrow at home 😅
where do you live? the North Pole!
  • Just got the latest bill and was surprised I managed to squeak in at under 20p/kWh on average. So, still significantly cheaper than the SVT.

There is a minor difference between Fixed and SVR, so yeah - good reference point.
If you decide to leave Agile you'll be switched to Flexible April 2023, so that's the one worth monitoring where you better off - but not much different to Fixed one.

I'm currently on 18.5p average for last 30 days, and it's improving 15p for last week - compared to SVR it's 33% cheaper for a month/45% cheaper for a week.

I know I've posted this in another thread, but if Octopus are serious about offering Free Electricity to Octoplus members (even those who don't live in the East of England), early tomorrow morning could be a good time to do so.

They're now offering discounts on Ionity and Osprey public EV chargers, with the Electroverse card, at times of excess supply.

Not that I fancied driving many miles, in the dead of night, to top up at still probably more than the SVT rate, for the first session.
