Ahh joy. I wasn't able to phone today so emailed but they haven't got around to it. Hopefully they will honour the fix that was available when I emailed them that was available to new customers but the website only offered me flexibile.

II quoted the rates in the email so we shall see...

Replying to myself but just called them and they have honored the fix I'd detailed in the email so all good. Got in there just in time and avoided the increased rates & exit fees.

Hopefully things go back to normal at some point soon and I can return to Agile

The government needs to fast-track the funding and details for the solar/battery grants rather than meandering along as they are now, that would mitigate some of the demand and help to have more flexibility in the Grid, with tariffs like Agile benefiting, or at least being further skewed in their rates to lower usage during periods of high demand. The funds tend to be spread out over the tax years but bringing that money forward to this tax year would help things.

Hmmmm - my current contract expires in a few weeks. Think I'll just let it roll on to the SVT and see how it goes rather than renewing with Agile or risking a £50 exit fee for both gas and electric (potential saving on the fixed is supposedly about £3 a month - which is wiped out by the 7% decrease forecast from April - so hardly worth the bother …)

I have asked on the other forum if people are aware if the £50 exit is now being extended to all - new - contracts, flex and fixed, as far as we are aware. Change of policy. I might try to get a statement from them to clarify the issue.

I expect its new tariffs, switched today to GO, which is Feb fix version, no exit fee.
I did Gas just in time on the march v1 tariff yesterday. v2 is where they added the exit fee.
    Is there another forum?

Crikey, I've just checked prices, and they've gone up again! I fixed gas at 5.27p yesterday morning, it was 5.83p with a £50 exit fee by the evening, and now it's 6.25p with £75 exit fee.

Much better than I expected, tomorrow! Especially as there's much less wind than today. Good-o.
