Forecast here isn't great. But then today's was wrong and the weather was lovely until late afternoon, so I'm hopeful that topping the battery up overnight will see me through (and get some of the laundry backlog sorted). We might have something easy to eat in the evening though. Like a sandwichNetexporter said:Grim pricing tomorrow. Fingers crossed that the weather forecast is correct so that solar can save the day.

Doesn't look that bad. Should still come in somewhere around SVR rate when the day is done. Glad I have a gas hob not induction as it gives options when the peaks are silly.Looks like it could he nice and windy towards the end of the week.1

A plunge weekend would be nice as the car could do with charging.0

I wonder sometimes: If one was to switch to Agile, but treat it like Tracker or a fix and not fiddle about with manually manipulating one's consumption pattern (and lifestyle), if one would be worse off as a result. Logically the answer should be yes.Telegraph Sam

I do very little manipulation and am considerably better off. But my normal lifestyle means that I use a lot in the early morning and weekends when prices tend to be lower. Tomorrow Tracker is 27.5p in my region, yet Agile is less than this for 19 out of 24 hours.Telegraph_Sam said:I wonder sometimes: If one was to switch to Agile, but treat it like Tracker or a fix and not fiddle about with manually manipulating one's consumption pattern (and lifestyle), if one would be worse off as a result. All electric, no solar, and we'll be heating up dinner in the peak as usual. It'll just be a 'grit my teeth and bear it' day - Agile is still saving us over £80/month compared with Cosy (and even more saved compared with the SVT) so even if one day turns out more expensive, overall we're still saving.
Just have to keep reminding myself of that when I remember the prices for tomorrow

Strictly speaking that answers my question, tks. Unfortunately that would upend my lifestyle. I will have to consult Compare to see if switching from my "Loyalty" fixed rate to Agile would make sense (assuming that Agile would still be compatible with retaining export credits). Not simple ..Telegraph Sam

Could we (~~ the moderators) not introduce a post # reference system so that it is obvious which post I am replying to ? !. The thought is not originally mine I confess.Telegraph Sam

We have a quote button for that. Post numbering gets messed up when people delete a post or threads get merged or split.Telegraph_Sam said:Could we (~~ the moderators) not introduce a post # reference system so that it is obvious which post I am replying to ? !. The air fryer and microwave also get used on the same basis as well as, obviously, the electric kettle!I'm out tomorrow evening so luckily will miss the wince inducing nigh on 60p peak, but I'll be getting the car to 100% at the weekend at around or under 3p I suspect.
