Ooohhhh, that's a bit of an ouch compared with normal.
Still, a reprieve promised at the weekend and next week looks much better according to the emoncms forecast. Phew.

I think in my mind, that a month of Tracker will be less painful than a month of fixed tariffmasonic said:
Does tracker look like a good alternative to you? Tomorrows price in my region is 27p/kWh, which is above SVT. I believe the loophole of being able to automatically get back onto Agile via the web page without waiting a month has now been closed.RavingMad said:So if I move to Tracker, am I stuck with it for a month?
It's looking like.a week of pain but must balance that against the savings I've had on Agile0 -
It's the first time I've seen the morning peak predicted to be over 30p for a long time, but at least we still seem to have reasonable overnight pricing.0

Had a quick look, seen the 60p peak, but still ok for rest of day, checked historical and noticed today is not the norm. Then checked other tariffs and was surprised to see Agile for average daily rate is looking the best tariff now even with it not great compared to how it has been in the past, octopus intelligent go looks nerfed quite a lot, by that I mean I did an average rate calculation and it was no better than Oct 13 for agile which is the worst Agile day for the past week or so, cosy barely any different to eco 7, whats going on with electric costs. We seem to still be regressing.1

Agile v Intelligent Octopus is an interesting one. My first bill on Agile last week was at a (net) unit rate of 6.93p compared with recent IO bills in the mid 13p range. But the extra Agile standing charge cost removes a lot of the advantage, particularly as I'm quite a low user.Having an EV means that this week I'll definitely be using the V2L a bit in the evening peaks, and will be charging again at the weekend.Standing charges rear their ugly head again with my gas bill which is basically entirely SC from March to mid-October, but my aim is to go heat pump which will help when I remove the gas meter.0

I suspect that a pre-winter month could lead to different conclusions compared with a post-winter month?RavingMad said:

There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know0 -
I'm back on Agile (for the time being). I'm wondering if AgilePredict (prices.fly.dev) is still useful. I vaguely remember there being complaints about it after I left Agile last December.1

It's useful, but it's not very good at predicting unusual events. Normally slightly better than looking at renewables generation and making your own guesses.bob2302 said:I'm back on Agile (for the time being). Heads up for anyone who hasn't noticed. Reasonable rates overnight. I've ensure I don't have the thermal store heat up over the last few hours with the heating on to take advantage .0
