Slightly off topic: I'm thinking of switching to Octopus when my fix with BG expires. Online reviews seem largely positive. Would you recommend them? Thanks.

Yesterday ended up at 45.59 kWh for -13p. Today (so far) is 20.78 for -14p. Currently exporting, but continuing to do endless laundry (there was a backlog due to a bedroom being emptied for renovation, and lots of grubby pet bedding and towels), using the immersion, filling the battery, and using electric heating should help me maximise the benefits AND mean the laundry mountain is gone. @EssexHebridean - I'm not going to risk putting the washing on the line, as I think it will probably blow away!

Octopus have a much larger range of tariffs if you have a smart meter, Agile being one of them, so I think you'll be pleased with a switch.

75 pence (including 65 pence sc) for 49 kWh.

Don't think we will need the heating on for a good few days now as the fabric of the house should be nice and warm.

I would, and have, to friends & family. Make sure you use a recommendation to grab the £50 sign on.
