I've had the electric radiators warming up the house today as it's starting to feel a bit nippy

No need on the south coast: out in the garden today in a t-shirt..

But on the subject of Agile, I switched to it last week. Most of my next two weeks of motoring will cost me nothing in fuel!

Tomorrow's prices late coming in. Solar prospects look bad for my area. I feel an expensive day coming on.

Not as bad as I feared. Same average as today.

Anyone know what's happening to agile standing charge in October?

I'm looking to switch to it.

I guess it will probably go up rather than down, so perhaps join it end of Sept rather than early Oct would be wise?

I don't think Agile has any sort of fix, so even if you joined today you'd still see the change in October.
Edit: seems I'm mistaken, see below 👇

You get 12 months at the rate prevailing when you join. It is then revised to the prevailing rate when the year is up.

I asked chatGPT earlier and it found some stuff from 2023 which suggested the standing charge was locked in for 12 months.

Wasn't sure if that was still the case.
