Honestly, before trying agile and realising that I could run the heating off a 6Kw immersion heater, I'd have happily gone with the unvented.  Now I'm swung back to the boilermate. Despite their reputation mine was flawless for 17 years...
Boilermate is just Gledhill's brand of thermal store. There are other manufacturers, and other options!

Indeed looked at a few options, all much of a muchness really when it comes to thermal stores and very much past their heyday so little info to be found on current ones.

Another plus for the store option for me is it nicely balances out heating just one or two rooms, something a boiler doing the heating probably would end up cycling quite a bit with.

I have one of these and very pleased with it:

It has two 3kWh immersion heaters which I run simultaneously - only takes about 30mins most days to get up to temp so I just heat the water during the cheapest Agile slot.

That's pretty similar, even says its a perfect replacement for a Gledhill PulsaCoil which is basically the Boilermate but electric without space heating.

Just committed to the boilermate, some will think I'm mad but my old one lasted 17 years and with some understanding they don't burn as much gas as people claim. I'd have likely gone with unvented as the "modern" option but I think Agile and running space heating off electric when it is cheaper to do so is a winner all round.

Looks like a good choice to me. The one annoyance I have with my advance thermal store is the lack of lagging around the external bits and bobs which lead to a fair bit of heat loss. I managed to lag it well enough eventually but the boilermate looks much better.

Anyone else not able to see tomorrow's prices? There isn't the usual "it'll be here soon" message, just a blank graph, for me.

Is it tonight's clock meddling that's messed it up?

Ah, I see the table is working but it has one hour repeated. which is presumably what borks the graph.

I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of plunge!

I have recently changed from Flux to Agile, due to my brain injury it is all too confusing to me, I am going to change back to Flux, how long does it take to change back.

I think it's supposed to be 30 days between switching smart tariffs.  However if you contact them - phone, or Twitter - there could be a slight chance they'll waive that under the circumstances.  Just contact them, explain, and ask when can you switch back.  You never know!

Well, my home automation went into "what on earth is happening" mode when the clocks changed so I think some more work is needed! Fortunately prices were dirt cheap all night so no major harm done. Have spent an hour or so trying to figure out what went wrong, but have come to the conclusion that given the clocks going backwards only happens once a year it's probably not worth losing too much sleep over.

October is shaping up to be the weirdest month since records began ( in June  ) Currently a very healthy 9.41p/kWh average rate for a total use of 278.7kWh but wow have there been some ups and downs getting there. Be interesting to see how the month closes out....

That what mind did and completely confused me, I just assumed our Solax Invertor and battery were unsuitable for Agile hence my reason to change back to Flux
