madswitcher said:Hi folksI have asked this question on another forum but this one is probaby more appropiate.I am having problems getting my installer to switch on the 'Octopus Charge' option in the web portal for my Lux system so that I can take best advantage of being on the Agile tarriff. Is there a way to contact the manufacturer directly to get this done?ThanksHi.I contacted Infinity Innovations (https://www.infinityinnovations.co.uk/) who set it up for me. Even though they weren't my installer. I think that they are involved in the software.

My first few days after the switch.
The last days in October were on SVR - average about £6 a day, 1st Nov was the switch day - I realised at 4pm that it was the day of switch - not the next day 😂 so cut electricity use on that day. Then the next 3 days Agile - about half price in costs although electricity usage has gone up for multiple reasons - I feel like I can afford having warmer house as well as I preheat certain areas earlier - from 4am (or 3pm) to 23° so it lasts through more expensive times.
House has no gas, I work from home, luckily family is out from 7am till 7pm as they're not really keen on this entire Agile approach 😎.
Although they're happy with not using heating between 4-7pm, other things like TV, microwave etc. don't cost that much overall.
Interestingly Tracker would have been only a little bit more expensive - so for now all that planning hasn't really been worth it, although I enjoy it as a hobby that pays for itself. If not the Tracker waiting list + ability to leave instantly and take 30 days break ( after seeing last December prices) I'd probably go with tracker.
Once I hit 5 days of paying more than SVR then I'll take a break.1 -
There is no tracker waiting list, I requested a move and was put on it instantly, whether already being on Gas tracker made a difference idk
Thing with Tracker, even if only slightly more expensive, it takes the stress out of working out if you can use high demand items, so your family (and your sanity) may have appreciated that approach4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.2 -
Does anyone know where these price jumps come from?

Sure, but what's the logic behind? Prices are dictated by demand and supply, so why would that differ this much 1:30 and 2:30 are 11p, but then 2am is 15p.. what special happens at full hour ?

I've noticed that 05:30 is often a high price. I assume it is people getting up for starting an early shift. Half-pasts, generally, seem to be higher than o'clocks, first thing.0

Pretty high prices tomorrow.. cold, cloudy and not windy, and that's all reflected.0

Just as well I put the washing machine on today!1

Apparently there are also unplanned interconnect or outages since yesterday which doesn’t help either.0
