s/c on Agile is 66 against 52.9 12mth fix where I live, so if a really low user it is going to be hard to get that money back from TOU unless you have a battery and/or solar but Agile may update the s/c soon. As ex-Agile, I found it easy to avoid the main 4-7pm peak but the morning peak was impossible to avoid and often post 7pm there were some high rates. If you use loads of energy, possibly make a lot back in the lows and negative periods but easy enough to try it out and switch to something else if not to your taste. Bear in mind it is a twelve month contract so possibly best to wait a week or two to see if they change the s/c.

Just read the last 2 pages and low usage has been mentioned.  I am a low user (single - about 1600 kwh pa).  Home most of the day, no EV, thinking of Heat Pump, no solar.  SMETS2 now connecting with Octopus.

Is agile a suitable tarrif for a low user??
@MarzipanCrumble Agile works best for those who can shift their usage to the cheaper time periods, whenever they may be. If you are flexible about what you can shift, and when, then Agile can work. If you have limited flexibility then Agile is maybe not the right choice for you.
Where Agile may not be so great for you is it's relatively high daily standing charge, which is going to make up around 40% of your bill, so check the Standing Charge in your region and do some comparisons.

Glad to say that for the last week our standing charge was over 50% of our electric cost , £3.71 s/c  &
£3.60 electric usage,  sounds bad until you factor in the 70kWh usage with very little wasted .
We have been & can when needed be low users, no solar/ev/heat pump/gas or oil, just a log burner for free heat & some cooking in winter,  both retired & home most of the time means we can take full advantage of agile.
Doesn't bother us if the S/C  stays high as it's still the best value tariff by miles for us.

I am going to monitor my SC against KW used which is available on the Octopus dashboard (I think).  I will als check SC on Agile, as suggested.  I don't use much elec at night - Iam a lark, waking at 4 am but use little elec.  So early to bed!

The SC is the reason i left Octopus as it was and still is 63p, while TE are 40p sc, i knocked a third of my monthly bill, and if TE last out, then in 10 months time i will have saved £96 alone on SC moving from octopus.......now the question is will octopus drop their present sc of 63p for tracker and agile, or are they going to keep it, because as of now up here in Glasgow octopus on all their tariffs sc are higher than British gas, and when your sc is more than BG, then something is wrong somewhere. lol

Remembering of course whilst some regions got a substantial drop in SC this period, other regions got a rise so not everyone will be bothered by no updated Agile version.

If you can use the 11am - 4pm slots, Agile can be very cheap in the summer, even without batteries.
