It would help if Octopus could just put us out of our misery and say whether they are thinking of bringing the SC into line with their other products or if they've ruled it out. Would help future planning no end ...northernstar007 said:about time, some free slots tomorrow

Deep seated hatred of Scottish Power and all who sail in her - would love to see Ofgem grow a pair and actually do something about it.1 -
What times are those? We've put off laundry today as weather is great tomorrow.0

These cheap afternoons are doing my wasteline no good at all, since being on Agile we've made a switch back to full size electric oven as a cheap way to cook & i do like to get my monies worth .Already cooked too many loaves ,cakes & choco chip cookies tthis week but looks like i'll have to fire the oven up again tomorrow with cheap slots to come, i feel a sourdough experiment may be in order .2

Disgraceful that some parts of the country are still paying 60/70 sc daily while other parts are 40p and under, a mess that needs to be redressed asap.....and it is the reason i have not went back on agile as i am quite a low user, so the Sc was just killing any savings that might be had.2 -
Yes, ditto. Though it is only a 7p per day premium for me, it is just a little too much for me to make a saving (barring days like tomorrow). In part because I cannot avoid using 0.5 kWh or so during the 4-7pm peak, which has quite an impact when total usage is 2-3 kWh/day. Using an E7 fix, I can get a guaranteed 12.75p for 7 hours overnight (until 08:30), which has worked out better than Agile in recent days. But I will be monitoring the situation closely.WibbleBaaaaaa said:

Cosy tariff s/c gone down and they now allow "electric radiators" but the std unit rate is higher than it should be, may work for some, not quite there for me compared to the 12 mth fix, and after Agile - where I honed my usage right down when the prices went off the scale a few months ago - finding it easier but I still don't switch the TV on until 7pm...0

Hmm..put washing on the line because it's sunny or in the tumble because I get paid to use the energy? Decisions...1

Know what you mean , in the same position here & got a huge list of things to do, we find negative price days exhausting & usually look forward to 4pm for a rest but at least the freezer will be even fuller & the washing baskets will be emptyRavingMad said:Hmm..put washing on the line because it's sunny or in the tumble because I get paid to use the energy? What is the least worse way of guesstimating what switching to Agile might cost me, given my circs? Reading the correspondence it comes over as a leap in the dark. Even if I note what the SC's are for this region in All Our Tariffs, which presumably don't change within any given version. I'd guess that load shifting, solars, batteries and all such come into it somewhere along the line.Telegraph Sam
