  • I have certainly still got the comparison window up to keep an eye on things, and if the prices start tracking downwards again I'll likely hop back on for another stint.
What are you using for comparison, out of interest?

    Octopriceuk.app - it’s what I’ve been using throughout.

Wow, I wish I'd have heard / tried that sooner - I'd have had accurate savings info for right back to when our smart meter was fitted.  Still, better to have it later than never!
  • It’s pretty good isn’t it - I stumbled across it by accident quite a long while back now, way before I originally opted to switch to agile in fact. It was a key part of my decision making process in the end! (And again when I decided to jump off again the other day!)

I think Octopus must be being inundated at the moment, it's taken until just now to get my tariff changed from the small hours yesterday when it was changed online but starting from mid March. All done now though, and yesterday's bill reduced.

I suspect I will go back to Agile, and probably gas tracker, at some point, but right now whilst trying to make sure I don't exceed my 70-£75 dual fuel budget for the month so that I can save as much as poss for a mortgage and conveyancing and no cheap spells for weeks, just above SVR vs a long way above SVR, it's just not worth the head space for me
  • Looking much better  next week for the few of us left , with the blocking high over Europe finally weakening the winds will return & bring milder weather , plus a 15% drop in gas futures over the last few days should help. It won't take many cheapish slots to bring our current high ( for us ) kWh monthly average down to well below svr.

  • A nice drop tomorrow. Tempted to jump back onto Agile now  :D There's not a 9 month rule to do this, is there?

I was told by someone on here Agile is a month compared to Trackers 9 month wait. But  Agile term  ended yesterday and Octopus put me onto Flexible just at the same time when that European blocking high pressure was finally defeated and the mild more southerly air is giving UK a visit after weeks of cold weather .
I went on the app and in less than five minutes after accepting Agile T and C s via email I was back on Agile looking at excellent low prices for a few days. Looks like this  cold winter is on its way out with lots of windy sunny and warm days to come hopefully  .

Yet snow being forecast for around the 3rd of March by the usual suspects - so I wouldnt say this awful winter has gone just yet.

Nor my far higher energy bills that have come with it cf last Dec, Jan and even Feb to date.
