Good lord. Tomorrow makes today look cheap...... thank goodness for our batteries. As for the savings sessions, there's no way I'm exporting.

ETA having looked at this again, I've decided to export. I topped up overnight at around 20p and with 15p export and 60p in points, it'll be worth doing even if it means I end up using some import later in the evening before I top up again in the cheap slot at 22.30.

Tomorrow is truly hideous! Mains switch is going off at 5.30am and I shall spend the day travelling around on public transport getting every penny out of my free travel card - shame the Octoplus free drinks have run out or I'd be making use of that as well.

I'll be living my life as normal. Just will make sure the cooking is on the gas hob rather than electric oven.

Not going to worry about what may be an extra £2-3 on a days bill. The savings over SVR for the rest of the month will cover it anyway.

    Are you actually serious?

  • less than 80px3 or more likely x2 (kWh) it's not worth taking too drastic measures for, it just means over the 3 days of horror probably lose the gains of a week or two on agile. Still making me wince at the price mind

I'm glad I got off Agile. I think most people on Agile would be better off going on to Tomato Lifestyle - at least over the winter. I have 5h at 5p/kWh overnight, 4h at 14p/kWh in the day, and a peak of only 23.26p/kWh ( 0.5p/kWh below Octopus Flexible); the standing charge is 42.9 p compared with 54.8p on Agile Dec 2023.

My worry with Tomato is how sustainable their business model is and their ability to cope when things go wrong. After a nightmare with Scottish Power, good customer service is a biggy for me.
