How did everyone do today. 30kwh used here so far today no ev and paid just under £1 but the rest of the day and SC will eat that up.

I wish I knew - my data still hasn't updated since the 1st July. Getting worried now as we hit the negatively priced slots really hard and used a lot of electricity we wouldn't otherwise have used.

On Agile, any missing data days are charged at the ofgen price cap price both p/kwh and p/day. All days with full transmitted data are charged at Agile rates, so that's the key difference, your transmitted days aren't affected, no averaging out.
It doesn't seem like there's a technical reason why they can't do the same for Tracker. The argument has been that if there's data missing they don't know that day's consumption, hence they have to use the start/finish index readings for the whole billing period. Yet with Agile it seems that if some data is missing, they still know that day's total.

this must have been asked many times before...i'm on tracker, going to start researching agile but not sure how likely it will be that we will swap.
on tracker we get so many "averaged" bills due to "missing readings" that iv'e given up on load shifting to cheap days. with this in mind, what happens with an Agile bill that has "missing readings".
Missing reads on electricty? Do you have a smets1 or smets 2 meter?
its less than a year old, fitted by Octopus. does that confirm?

p.s just had this months bill and both are "averaged" again.

sometimes its gas, sometimes electricity and the odd occasion, both, like this month.  we do have a terrible mobile signal on a very local basis, i'e a handful of houses, if that has any baring?

I think you need to have a regular look at Octopriceuk.app (website), where there's a missing data checker. If you discover you have data missing contact Octopus and ask them to request the data again, hopefully it will download and solve the problem.

Context of averaged tracker bill is most often missing half hour readings is due to Octopus not being able to pull data from meter, whilst Octopus have re-calculated bills for some customers upon request Tracker product guide says -

"We are unlikely to be able to recalculate your bill, even if we later receive your actual consumption data, as re-billing is just as likely to increase charges for a customer as reduce them, and time-consuming, when our priority is on minimising the cost of this tariff, and makes bills harder to comprehend and follow for customers"

Agile - Octopus will request missing half hour readings from DCC, only instances where SM is not sending half hour readings, day(s) should be charged at flexible rate.
