Just a quick question, I have seen the photos of the claim and the vehicle is outside of the parking bay lines. It was empty at the time and no car next to us. Do I mention any of this or stick to the defence template as advised?0

It should all be covered in the template defence as advised. You include your 2 paragraphs, the other following as in John86 and then all the rest from the template in the newbies thread.Chardgags98 said:Just a quick question, I have seen the photos of the claim and the vehicle is outside of the parking bay lines. Of course, you just have to renumber all the paragraphs sequentially. This should cover you for your WS later on, where you would detail everything should it ever get that far.2 -

I have slightly ammended paragraph 3 :2. It is admitted that on the 10th February 2022 the Defendant was the registered keeper of the vehicle in question, but liability is denied.3. The Driver was a patron at the Pets At Home store within the retail park and did shopping there, and therefore a genuine customer who remained on site throughout their visit.0

It looks OK. I just suggest removing the bit above as this is just your defence and any elaboration can come later in your WS.Chardgags98 said:I have slightly ammended paragraph 3 :2. Are you stating you were not the driver? If so, you should put it in para #2. If you were the driver, do not lie! Your paragraph #3 does not make sense. If you start a sentence with "As" readers are expecting it to continue with some more words such as .. "As the driver was a genuine customer and remained on site throughout the visit, the claim of leaving site is null and void" Or you could just leave out the "As" and start paragraph #2 "The driver was a genuine ........" Is it actually a "leaving site" claim?Chardgags98 said:2. It is admitted that on the 10th February 2022 the Defendant was the registered keeper of the vehicle in question, but liability is denied.

Would you please confirm that you are doing everything in the name of the Defendant shown on the county court claim form, ie, the registered keeper (is that your husband?). I ask because some of your subsequent posts are talking about 'my defence', so things are (to me) not as clear as perhaps they should be. Unless you are the Defendant, nothing should be submitted in your name.Chardgags98 said:Just a quick question, maybe a blonde one...but the registration on the parking fine and court claim is now a private plate. Same vehicle, so I'm assuming I carry on with filing the AOS and preparing my defence 🤷 this is for my hubby btw, it's not in my name and I think he wants to go online and just pay, save the streeWe've had other cases go Pete Tong because the defence has been submitted in the wrong name. Just a heads up.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Is this better?

Yes, it's all in the defendants name ( my husband), I was just asking for 'myself' meaning I am the one drafting his defence etc. But thanks for the heads up !!Umkomaas said:
