Adjust your savings and pension ideas for a few months as that will reduce your stress. It's not failing, merely tweaking to circumstances.
DD has done very well, it's nearly over and she can relax; as can you.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -

Hi Flowerpot, I hope you have a fun afternoon of creativity and painting. I love that you have a studio to lock yourself away in! My kids find me wherever I am (or the dog lol). Hope your DD completes all the exams left with ease. My DD has loads left still she said she is only just over the half way mark! I seen to be spending too much again. It certainly creeps up when I'm not on here and checking my accounts as regularly!
We had a spendy day in London fur my DDs 16th birthday but it was a lovely day, she wanted to go to the British Museum and the large waterstones in piccadilly!
Burst week this week with work and then offski on tues for our holibobs. So much to do to get Everything ready!
Poped 12 and 28 into the envelope challenge. But did raid one of the other pits to buy DDs pressies. This was the 1£Day challenge pot. Which I think will become the birthday pot and so I will keep adding, but it will go up and down and then hopefully the xmas pot won't get touched!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Oh congrats on your DD finishing all the exams! My DD still has lots left to do, she is utterly exhausted and I really feel for her. The school has put on so many revision sessions which should be helpful in theory but in reality I feel they are stressing her and exhausting her more than she should be. I keep trying to say to her, it really doesn't matter too much. GCSE's are NOT the be all and end all... many people succeed without them, and many people go on to re-do them if they didn't get the results they wanted...myself included! I re-took my maths when I was 27 and trying to get into uni. I wish schools wouldn't place so much emphasis onto bits of paper to prove they can spell and do algebra, kids who are kind, kids who are happy and kids who know what they like should be the goal I think..........anyway...hope the week passes quickly for you so you can get off on your holidaysMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Had to take DH to his hospital appointment this morning and have been taking it easy. Sorted another basket from DDs mountain. I have made a list for jobs to do before holibobs and have begun ticking them off.
I started with the first aid kit, always like to taje a few bits and normally use the one from the car, but as I opened it the zip fell off, sheered off! Rather annoying as it's the perfect size and opens right out. Managed to find a hopefully similar one online hopefully it will come in time!
Also planted the plants I bought 2 weeks ago which are looking a bit sorry for themselves. Couldn't believe how hard the ground was, we've had so much rain and yet i couldnt get a spare in!! Also had to move loads of compost from the compost heap I in the back garden to bring the level of the soil up as its sunk alot!
Anyway finally managed it all and watered everything really well. It's looking much better Will try and water a couple more times before we go and then will put DS2 in charge of watering if it's dry while we're away!
What I really need to do is get some mulch down!
DS2 is now cooking tea and nearly everything came from the freezer or pantry, trying to use stocks up abit before we go!
DS1 is collecting girlfriend from town and DD has just got out of bed and in the shower,!!! (at 5.45pm,!!)
