Thanks MF and DFW321 ~ today exams was a disaster she broke down in the middle of it started crying and scratching her skin. Turns out she was completely overwhelmed by the person behind her clicking on the laptop behind her and couldnt concentrate and it built up until she nearly popped! The invigilator called the exam officer who called me and then she went in and took DD out for a rest break. She did manage to go back in and they moved the desk further away and she did carry on. I am so proud of her for going back and continuing the paper, which I know would have been so hard for her. But she came out devastated and so upset this was her favouraite subject and the one she wanted to do really well in. I drove her to the seafront and we sat in the car for a bit and watched the rain come in and the churned up sea, we then ran down the stones collected a couple and ran back to the car ~ this helped change the vibe and we came home via the king of the burgers for her tea.Trying so hard to keep her going, another exam tomorrow and we have agreed that she can wear ear plugs and/or headphones if she wants too ~ hurrah! Hopefully that will help , also asked if she can be seated away from the laptops. Im now on the wine!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Could she resit it if not happy with the result or do a post exam request for the circumstances to be taken into account, especially if they didn't grant her the extra time she missed.
- the school should have had adjustments in place for her to begin with.
She's a strong girl to go back in and keep going with the remaining exams.
Hope the wine went down well 😁

Hello Flowers,
I really felt for you reading about your DD sitting her exams. They are so difficult for so many kids and just not representative of their abilities at all. My DD was a great student all year but the anxiety would overwhelm her at exam time and her actual results did not reflect her years of learning.
Yours has shown such incredible strength to go back in after that episode and I hope she's now resting and gathering energy and determination for the last one.
You seem to have come out of your previous slump with renewed energy and determination - that'll be where your DDs resilience comes from. There are always ebbs and flows to savings so even if you don't hit your savings targets one week, it's absolutely not a failing.
Have a lovely BH and I hope your Mum is excited about her surprise trip.
A x
