Glad to hear you had a lovely catch up. Hope your short work day passes quickly and you enjoy the rest of the day.

I had a lovely holiday in Sicily years ago when DS was small. We did the trip up Etna which was amazing and stayed in a lovely place in Cefalu. Good luck with learning italian
    Thanks SYA,
I had a cancellation so a little time to catch up with myself.
I might even switch the language app on!!
We've been to Italy a few times and love it, would like to go to sciliy, will add it to my list!
It will be Rome and Athens this year, and it's only 6 weeks away!

However just 3 more days will see the start of the gcses. Day 1 is a clash which is rather unfortunate for the first day as she can't leave the building / have lunch in the car / go on her phone etc. My main worry is she won't eat anything at all, as she didn't tend to eat it at all, only in the car or her room. It is a real shame it's the first day. But can't do anything about it, I'm just going to pack her up awhole load of easy to eat things and hope she can eat something!

Take it slow with learning Italian, grasp alphabet pronunciation, numbers, days etc. see if your local library can get some little kids basic books and work your way up. You'll have a lot of fun.

If DD will drink in front of others, get her high cal / thick shakes / drinking yoghurt from the shops as that will bridge the food gap.

Please try to relax and take a few breaths. Hide in the gym or your work space, burn candles or incense and meditate or just sit in silence x
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Thanks DFW321, The schoola are relentless arnt they! fortunately in that respect DD havent been subjected to all that. SHe has been able to sit 1 mock. But her studies only started in September, so shes struggled to even finish the courses, let alone do mocks and revise!!
Roll on 3rd June and the last one. WHen does your DD finish? I cant wait!!

And we're off DDs first day of exams has arrived, she managed to sleep last night and went in really well. At this point last year I didnt dare dream there would be any chance of her taking 1 GCSE let alone 6, all in one year!!. She has had an incredible journey. ANy prayers and good vibes willingly received over the next 2/3 weeks! She should be just about finished her first exam, but I cant see her until the second one has finished because of a clash, so she has to stay in the centre under supervision (fingers crossed she eats something!)
I need to plant up some things we bought DD spotted a beautiful dalia orangey yellow, would like to get that in a pot and a few others things, will post a photo. I need to keep busy!!

Hope DD's day went well and she can focus on the remaining exams, not going over what she has done.

You'll get the garden finished over the next few weeks then way you're going 😀
