everything has gone to pot. I have been in so much pain.Ive been diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia and given some meds to help, but you have to build them up slowly, so nothing has really changed yet! It really is the most awful thing. Not been on it regarding the money side of things at all. Am using a huge amount of petrol as Im now driving freya to the home ed centre 4 days a week. Couldnt work this week either due to the pain, so all pots have suffered. This tomorrow is uni drop off day for DS1 ~ he's having a bit of a wobble at the moment and still has a lot to pack!!DS2 has just paid his rent to me for the second week. both his jobs are going well so that is really good news.♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Popping in but not much to update, everything has come to a stand stall!Face it still aching infact it has ramped up a notch in the evenings and over nightI did manage to work this week ~ yippee, but I did an work supplies order and I have my car serviced and MOTed so that wiped the car fund (which was sitting at £120) It passed the MOT but advissory for 2 tyres near limit and 1 tyre with nail in it!) so will need to get these done over next couple of months, starting with the nail one!)Then I can start to rebuild the car fund.DS1 has been at uni for a week and is still there!! So good so far♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

My eldest was diagnosed with coeliac disease nearly 2 years ago. As you say gluten free food is so expensive.
Rice and potatoes are naturally gluten free and cheap 😉
We buy Asda's gluten free pasta and flour which we find work well and are not as expensive as some other brands.
One of the most time-consuming aspects is needing to constantly check the ingredients to ensure that things contain no gluten ingredients not traces of gluten, and then having to check the same product the next time I buy it in case it has been made in a different factory or they have adjusted the recipe.
Is your son being referred to a dietician? They said we would be but nothing came of it.
One plus is we no longer have take aways as their is no where local to us which serves gluten free food, saving both calories and money 😃Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Hope they've given the right meds this time, anti-d surprisingly enough but it's finding which work.
Dove something or other flour is available in supermarkets, not cut price ones, and is cheap. There's also coconut, walnut and other types which are GF and easily purchased online. K-li0 stock cubes I think are GF. There's a vast range of products in the shops now, the C society have a list of GF products and there's so many recipes available online.

Also the panasonic SD-B2510 breadmaker is fabulous for gf bread. Takes 1hr and 6 mins, tasty and far cheaper than store bought gf bread. I have tried 3 diff breadmakers and the panasonic one is by far the best for speed, taste and consistency.
You will need to slice and freeze the excess as it doesnt last (as no preservatives) - I worked out it cost about £1.30 a loaf inc the electricity
The GF cakes etc get expensive so you will need to find time to master GF baking but its worth it for treats especially on the go as travelling anyway as a GF is expensive so you need to prep.
Mr L does GF outdoor bred sausagesDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Hope the new meds are working Flowers. Sorry to hear about your dreadful pain. 🙁
I don’t know much about gf but DS’s girl friend is gf. Recently I did a roast chicken and made stuffing with gf pork sausages from Mr T, gf bread, onion & sage. They also do gf yorkshire puds (& gf profiteroles and choc eclairs in the freezer section). 😋 She usually brings her own gf gravy granules. It’s not cheap though. On 1/10/23 gf pork sausages £3.25
gf sourdough whitebloomer £3.50
6 gf yorkshire puds £2.50
Another meal I have made her is roast gammon, potatoes/chips, veg & cheese sauce (sauce made from warmed double cream with grated cheese melted in it.)0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗
House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗
Retired at 55 & now living off the equity £10k a year (until pensions start at 60 & 67).
